Over the past decade, Lauren Conrad has become known for her polished, perfect beach waves, but back in 2014, she was one of the originators of the now iconic lob.

And just last week, the new mom took to Instagram Stories to share her return to the hairstyle she popularized three years ago with a snap and a 鈥渂ye!鈥 emoji to her long blonde locks.

Conrad revealed the end result on her Instagram last night, showing off a slightly wavy, shaggy short cut by her longtime stylist and pal, Kristin Ess.

Ess shared her own photos of Conrad鈥檚 stunning new look, with the caption, 鈥淥hhhhh. Now I see what portrait mode is good for. Last week we traveled 3 years back in time and returned to the chop that kicked off my bob & lob obsession on my original kween. #ClearTheShoulders.鈥

People caught up with baby Liam鈥檚 mom at the launch of her new holiday collection for her LC Lauren Conrad line for Kohl鈥檚 yesterday, and she revealed exactly why she made the dramatic change. 鈥淵eah, I just cut it off,鈥 she said. 鈥淗onestly, it鈥檚 more of a time saver. I have to blow dry my hair while my son is napping and it doesn鈥檛 always last that long so less hair is less time. I don鈥檛 have time for a lot of hair.鈥

She added, 鈥淜ristin is so sweet. She鈥檚 been coming to my house for appointments just because it鈥檚 hard for me to get out and I just asked her to cut it all off.鈥

Moms everywhere will totally understand the need for a low-maintenance look, especially in the chaotic months following the birth of a newborn. Of course, new moms, old moms, and non-moms alike, Conrad鈥檚 new 鈥榙o is perfect for any busy woman on the go!
