We’d never turn down any spa day, but there are just some spaces that take the concept of self-care from ahh-inspiring to awe-inspiring. Nashville shop Lemon Laine is one. The burgeoning beauty hub, which focuses on the of-the-moment natural beauty movement, was treated to a makeover of its own by Homepolish’s Gracie Turner, and the result is nothing short of jaw-dropping.
Lemon Laine is all about plant-based beauty solutions, so it stands to reason that greenery would play a big part in the redesign. Turner used leafy palms to bring a tropical flourish to the oil bar, where customers can have personalized face oils mixed for them on the spot while they sip some wine (basically our dream afternoon).
Since many customers are new to natural beauty products, Turner was careful to balance the educational component of the shop with a fun, playful attitude that makes the space feel accessible. We think she hit the mark, like with this mix of bright and bold wallpapers that define the space’s testing counters. No two patterns are alike, but they work together to great effect.
The design’s mix of bright colors and sophisticated accents is a take on feminine styling that we can’t get enough of. For example, the gold-lined lampshades and sleek mirrors look luxe, but the overall effect is super modern. (And if you’re eyeing the displays below, you’re in luck: They’re actually CB2 dining tables.)
“Working with Lemon Laine was a dream,” Turner tells us. “It was important for me that their space provided a personalized experience that was not only beautiful, but also promoted health and wellness.”
