Picking the right dress as a wedding guest is already hard enough, but as the first lady, eyes will be on you no matter what. This weekend, Melania Trump opted for a muted-yet-marvelous floor-grazing gown to attend a Washington wedding.
Trump wore a light pink J. Mendel dress, featuring a pleated detail on the front, to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s wedding to actress Louise Linton. But the real eye-catching detail on the dress was actually in the back.
The ruffled front continued along the back, and trailed behind almost like a cape. There was also a criss-cross detail that was hard to miss. Trump kept the rest of her look simple with nude, closed-toe pumps and a clutch.
If you were wondering if it was possible to be stylish, wear a color other than black, not look like a bridesmaid, and still be conservative all in one outfit, this look is all the proof you need!
Other notable guests at the wedding included Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and Vice President Mike Pence, who officiated the ceremony.
