After teasing her new single and album with cryptic聽Instagram clips three days in a row, Taylor Swift finally released 鈥淟ook What You Made Me Do鈥 late Thursday, August 24.

The song 鈥 which is dark and vengeful and declared the old Taylor to be dead 鈥 swiftly (ahem) began trending on Twitter, with fans tweeting in all-caps excitement as the song鈥檚 lyrics revealed themselves:

But of course, as Tay knows all too well, there were some haters:

And then came the memes, because this is, after all, the internet:

And some people couldn鈥檛 help but notice that the chorus of the song sounded strangely familiar:

It turns out that 鈥90s one-hit-wonders Right Said Fred even have a writing credit on 鈥淟ook What You Made Me Do.鈥

But that鈥檚 not the only thing people thought the song sounded like:

Whatever you think of Swift or her new single, you can鈥檛 deny her star power 鈥 she always gets people talking (or singing along). And we鈥檒l be talking about her for a while 鈥 Reputation (her first new album since 2014鈥檚 smash 1989) comes out on November 10, 2017.
