I have always had a deep-rooted love for The Fantastic Four. Whether it be because The Incredibles (which also features an invisible woman) was my favorite movie as a kid or I just love Chris Evans' casting in the original 2005 film, the tight-knit family bond between this Marvel team gets me every time. And, in my opinion, it's what the MCU has been missing! Fans want a team that feels like a family!
So, needless to say, when we heard that Marvel Studios was finally bringing them into the MCU, I was overjoyed – and I've spent the last two years anxiously awaiting news on The Fantastic Four 2025. Well, on February 14, in honor of Valentine's Day, we finally got word on The Fantastic Four cast! Here's everything we know about the new Marvel movie and don't forget to check out this year's Spring Movies and Summer Movies while you wait!
When does the new Fantastic Four movie take place?

While we know when The Fantastic Four 2025 comes out, we don't exactly know when the movie is set. Drew Parker on TikTok makes the ~fantastic~ point that, based on the LIFE Magazine Ben is holding in the Instagram Valentine, our best guess is that the film will open on or around December 13, 1963. This is a huge date for space exploration because it's the day the UN approved the Outer Space Treaty (formally called The Declaration of Legal Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Uses of Outer Space), approving the free exploration of space.
One theory suggests Fantastic Four 2025 could take place in an alternate reality — based on the fact Julia Garner's Shalla-Bal Silver Surfer is from Earth-9997 in the comics instead of our Earth-616. And as ScreenRant's Kai Young points out, this new character poster of Joseph Quinn's Johnny is set against a city different than anything on our earth.
Needless to say, I have LOTS of questions about how it will tie into the rest of the MCU. Will it be a WandaVision-esque illusion that The Fantastic Four snap out of by the end of the movie? Will they meet a 1960s Howard Stark? Will they embark on their journey in the 60s, get sent to an alternate reality during the accident that gives them their powers, then reappear in 2025? (That does sound very similar to a certain Captain America plot point).
Whatever happens, after theories that Reed Richards will be "the new Tony Stark" (a mantle Pedro Pascal could totally pull off, IMO), it would make sense that the team winds up in 2025 to help Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, and the rest of the Avengers moving forward.
Who is the cast of Fantastic Four 2025?

Marvel Studios announced on February 14th, via an Instagram Valentine, that the new Fantastic Four cast will be Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. This is a very compelling cast because not only are all of these actors hilarious on their own, but they also have the empathy and open-hearted approach to dramatic roles that mean we could definitely be laughing one minute and crying the next.
I'm super excited to see Pedro Pascal join the MCU, especially after seeing his real-life friend Oscar Isaac in Moon Knight. Both actors are also in Star Wars (Pedro as The Mandalorian and Oscar as Poe Dameron), so it's like they're sci-fi franchise hopping!
Deadline confirmed on April 3 that Ozark and Inventing Anna star Julia Garner will join the cast, reportedly playing a version of the Silver Surfer from The Fantastic Four comics named Shalla-Bal.
What is the Fantastic Four 2025 about?

When Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, Susan Storm, and her younger brother Johnny Storm agree to take part in an experimental space flight, they don't know they're signing up to change their lives forever. Exposure to cosmic rays gives each of them their own super powers (including Reed becoming elastic, Sue turning invisible, Johnny basically turning into fire, and Ben becoming a living rock-like formation) and they decide to form The Fantastic Four to keep the earth safe.
When is the Fantastic Four release date?

Production on Marvel Studios'Fantastic Four begins summer 2024, and the movie is scheduled to premiere July 25, 2025. We're only getting one Marvel movie (Deadpool 3) in 2024, so Fantastic Four will be a welcome addition to next year's summer movies! Until then, feel free to stream the 2005 Fantastic Four on Disney+ :).
Will John Krasinski be Mr. Fantastic?

After the internet was calling for John Krasinski and Emily Blunt to play Reed Richards and Sue Storm, John showed up as a multiverse variant of Mr. Fantastic in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness! While I cannot see the future, I did accurately predict Taylor Swift's new album when she started walking around NYC in the cutest academia outfits last spring. It was giving college professor, it was giving Tumblr, and most importantly, it was giving The Tortured Poets Department. The album is dropping April 19, and while Swifties are busy whipping up Taylor Swift cocktails for their album release parties, Taylor's been giving us a ton of Easter eggs I think are already pointing us to TS12. Here's everything you need to know about my musings!!
What are all the 2's Taylor Swift keeps referencing?

After holding up a lot of number 3's throughout the Midnights era, Taylor Swift has been intentionally referencing the number 2 during The Tortured Poets Department. She's played mashups of two different surprise songs, held up a two during her Grammys acceptance speech, and there's a countdown on her site ending at 2PM EST ahead of the TTPD release. Mix in the peace sign & double book copies at the TTPD library installation *and* her latest tweet, and it's clear that the number 2 and TTPD are now inseparable!
While some fans think we're getting a second album or a Taylor Swift book release, I actually think Taylor's counting down to something even bigger. From the pocket watch in the "Bejeweled" music video promising "exile ends in 3...2...1..." to a new TTPD video showing Taylor's completed two out of three tallies (plus the viral "321" error message on Taylor's website), IMO, it's clear we're in the middle of a countdown.
If Midnights was 3 and The Tortured Poets Department is 2, then my guess is that TS12 will feature endless references to the number 1. And then Taylor will release the album that is arguably one of her most important: TS13.
What does 13 mean for Taylor Swift?

13 is a very important number for Taylor Swift. Her birthday is on December 13, and she told MTV 13 is her lucky number because "I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No. 1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter."
Since the beginning of her career, Taylor Swift has paid special attention to the number, which totally warrants a huge countdown to TS13.
What's with all the plane references?

In addition to all the numbers, there's one other thing Taylor has referenced the last few years: planes. She's name-dropped everything from manifests and co-pilots to timetables (which charts departures and arrivals of planes, buses, and trains), and @heather.hypnotic on TikTok ties everything into the "Look What You Made Me Do?" music video.
At the end of the music video, a number of different Taylors from different eras stand in front of a plane with "Reputation" written across the side. "Call it the lost album, call it the Karma album, call it the original TS6, I think this is the one [in the countdown]," Heather says.
Whether we get the supposedly unreleased rock album Swifties have dubbed Karma, or a separate album entirely, Taylor is definitely cooking up something!
What is the 12th Taylor Swift album?

Considering we're still in the Tortured Poets Department era, we don't have any info on TS12 yet. But just like the shift from Midnights' 70s vibe to Taylor Swift's current Ralph Lauren-esque outfits signaled the beginning of TS11, any more aesthetic shakeups later this year or next year could signal a new era.
This one Reddit theory suggests TS12 could have a golden theme based on Taylor's gold outfits, accessories, and nail polish. Considering two of my favorite Taylor Swift songs are "Daylight" and "Invisible String" (both of which talk about love being golden), I am more than okay with this theory ;).

Sweeney calmly set the record straight in regards to the aforementioned gossip and those Glen Powell rumors. In an interview with Variety, she clarified what their relationship is actually like.
“It’s a rom-com,” she says in the interview. “That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker, and I’m a hard worker. We’re excited for the press tour, and I literally just left ADR with him. We talk all the time like, ‘That’s really funny.’”
Glen also just cleared up rumors of the alleged romantic connection in his interview with Men's Health. “When all that stuff happened, you know, publicly, it felt disorienting and unfair," he says. "But what I’m realizing is that’s just a part of this gig now.”
He goes on to prove that he takes the idea of being an actor — and more importantly, a friend — really seriously, saying “the definition of a movie star is somebody you want to grab a beer with, and when you get too drunk and leave the bar, you can trust him with your wife."
Sydney Sweeney also talked about the rumors during her SNL monologue on March 2. "Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot," she says. "And I just want to let everyone know that he's the man of my dreams and we're still together and stronger than ever."
When she asks the camera to cut to her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, they cut to Glen Powell, who made a surprise appearance during the episode! This was a hilarious way to poke fun at the rumors, and not take them too seriously, and I'm obsessed!

"I'm just so thankful that everybody is loving [Anyone But You]...a little love, a little romance," Sydney Sweeney tells Jimmy Fallon. When Jimmy asks whether fans will get a sequel, Sydney teases "a high nine chance."
Glen Powell also confirmed the duo is trying to work together again! “Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun," he tells Variety. "We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. Please send us all the scripts you got...We’re reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to.”

Sydney is way more than just a blockbuster actress. Anyone But You is truly her baby, having developed the spec script (a non-commissioned and unsolicited screenplay, usually written by a screenwriter who hopes to have the script purchased) over the course of a year with screenwriter Ilana Wolpert (of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and Jeff Kirschenbaum (of The Gray Man), before hiring Glen Powell as her love interest and Will Gluck (of the cult-classic Easy A) as the film's director.
“She never left set,” Will tells Variety. “Never went to her trailer. She’s so blazingly smart, and she’s such a quick study, and she’s not afraid to ask questions. Her other superpower is that she doesn’t sleep. Two hours every night.”
