Christina Aguilera’s Heartbreaking Video Tribute to Her Late Pup Will Make You Weep
It’s a sad day for Christina Aguilera. Seventeen years after first gaining a new best friend in her dog, Stinky, the “Blank Page” crooner was forced to say goodbye to her longtime companion, taking to social media with a video tribute to honor her beloved pal.
“I had to finally make the hard decision to put my beloved Stinky down last night after an amazing 17 years,” she wrote to her followers.
She also included a personal message to the late Papillon, saying, “You were my roadie through the tours… breakups… life’s many ups and downs… my first baby before I had any babies… The one and only forever. RIP, Stinky…Run free and no more misery.”

Stinky was reportedly gifted to the songstress by her one-time boyfriend and backup dancer, Jorges Santos, circa the early 2000s. Since then, the animal has traveled all over the world with her momma, including on the singer’s Back to Basics tour, which ended in 2008.
The video memorial features plenty of adorable shots of the canine, both solo and snugged up to Aguilera, 37, and set to the tune of Kendrick Lamar’s “LOYALTY.”
Our hearts go out to Christina during her time of mourning.
