Get Ready to Swoon Over This Ethereal Garden-Inspired Wedding Shoot
Weddings are already *ultra* magical events filled with whimsy, romance and joy, so it’s no wonder that brides are choosing to dial up the fantasy factor with a free-spirited garden wedding theme. It’s pretty much the best balance between a super relaxed vibe and the prettiest venue. If you’re as much in love with this dreamy look as we are, then get ready to pin every pretty image of this ethereal garden-inspired wedding shoot that was shot by Alicia Lucia Photography and designed by Vintage Market and Design. The whimsical greenery, soft romantic palette and vintage decor surrounded by earthy elements are just the perfect touches to make this theme come true. Scroll on for all the pretty French-inspired bridal inspo.
For the wedding stationery, Funky Olive Design Co. created the sweetest invitation suite using lots of gorgeous watercolor florals, and put a little bit of fun on the envelopes with an orange creamsicle watercolor liner. The entire suite is not just pretty, but also plays perfectly to the theme of an ethereal garden.
The couple’s attire included a simple yet super romantic A-line dress for the bride and a tailored suit for the groom. This looked tied the soft, French-inspired look together oh-so-well.
For the groom’s outfit, the team chose classic navy trousers, a lavender top and a rose quartz skinny tie (hello, Pantone Color of the Year!). Since the crew behind Vintage Market and Design wanted a fairytale-like setting for the entire shoot, the team worked hard to make sure the ethereal side of things stood out by adding wildflowers to his boutonniere. If you want something similar, simply match the color of the tie to a velvet ribbon to wrap around the boutonniere and you’re good to go!
For the bride, the team combined boho and modern with this Simply Bridal gown. The clean, structured lines blend perfectly into the light and airy skirt, while the sweetheart neckline adds a more delicate touch to the entire ensemble. To add a touch of glam to her simple vintage look, the bride rocked a sparkly headband with lots of tiny faux diamonds that gave the look a whole new dimension. Talk about a simple yet totally French-country bridal look.
Genica Lee gave the bride an ultra-natural no-makeup makeup look and paired it with chic crystal jewelry from Dee Ruel that added an ethereal and totally fairytale-like vibe. If you’re thinking of wearing a similar jewelry piece, personalize it by swapping in your favorite stones. Wearing something you love on your big day will make you feel fabulous and super confident.
How killer are these soft, pastel florals? The glow from assorted flowers, beautifully designed by Floriography, made for some seriously swoon-worthy photos. The arrangement included different kinds of roses and some greenery, all tied together with a blush velvet ribbon. It just doesn’t get more garden-like than that. To get the look yourself, put together florals from a local garden. You’ll have to be a bit flexible with types and colors, but you’ll end up with a beautiful and totally sustainable end result.
The bridesmaids’ attire blended well with bohemian dresses from Simply Bridal in different styles and earthy colors. Their super casual look added to the French-inspired details while shedding some light on the subtle garden vibe.
If you dig the couple’s French-vintage look, you’ll LOVE the dreamy styling of the ceremony backdrop done by Vintage Market and Design. With the goal of bringing an enchanted theme to life, this whimsy haven couldn’t have been more on point. If you want a similar earthy yet totally glam look, all you need are a couple of matching window panes, greenery and string lighting to make it happen. Feel free to use a few flowers on top as an accent too.
Unique rentals like this beautiful French sofa added a bit of class and a bohemian touch to the garden-inspired reception space. For the darling backdrop, Little Black Letter Company created a 6 x 4-foot-wide stand using a beautiful, soft and flowy cream-colored fabric and the prettiest calligraphy. Have a favorite quote or song that’s super special to both of you? This is the perfect opportunity to add it to your big day.
The dessert tablescape featured a cool mix of vintage trays and rustic window panes with lots and lots of greenery and a shimmery tablecloth. The colors, ranging from greens and browns to gold, were so spot on, and, again, a subtle nod to that vintage French garden style the team wanted to create. This shoot just goes to show that a garden wedding might be more laid back, but it never fails to be chic.
