I scream, you scream, we all scream for… Eyescream! No, we’re not about to take you down a dark path where we talk about making ice cream with eyeballs. This is about a really awesome ice cream shop that’s themed around googly eyes.
The project sprung from the ice cream itself. Unlike typical ice cream, this shop features a shaved Taiwanese style ice cream made with Italian gelato. Instead of a nice creamy texture like ice cream or gelato, the texture is something sort of between sorbet and ice cream. Suffice it to say, a scoop of this frozen food isn’t the most attractive scoop around, especially when toppings and sauces come onto the scene.
So what’s a creative team to do? Make this ice cream a little more creative. Inspired by the fact that ice cream sounds like “eyescream,” they decided to create a monster-themed shop, complete with edible googly eyes!
Each flavor corresponds to a certain monster character, making for a unique ice cream experience. We do love when desserts double as art ;)
