Jason Momoa Confirms Secret Wedding to Lisa Bonet
Last week, rumors began surfacing that Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet had tied the knot in a low-key wedding ceremony back in October. Neither party had made any official comment on the news at the time, but now Momoa has indeed confirmed that the nuptials took place — by throwing some major shade at whoever was responsible for the leak.
“I thought it would have stayed [on the down low], but some a–hole leaked it, and I will find you,” the Justice League actor said at a press junket for the film over the weekend.
He was, as expected, scant on details of the day, but did say it was “just a gathering of our families and celebrating our love.” The ceremony reportedly took place at the couple’s home in Topanga, California, and had a guest list that included Bonet’s daughter with Lenny Kravitz, Zoë, as well as fellow reported newlyweds Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender.
The wedding announcement came as somewhat of a surprise to many — the pair have been together for 12 years, and were rumored to have been married as far back as November 2007. Momoa has openly called Bonet his wife in the past, and even now, he admits that making things “official” doesn’t change a thing in his eyes.
“You know what, I’ve been married to my wife for 12 years,” the 38-year-old said at the junket. We doubt a marriage certificate will change anything between these two. Congrats to the longtime happy couple!
