Tall Girls, Karlie Kloss Just Designed Your New Favorite Pair of Jeans
Whether you’re #blessed with the long, supermodel build or you can’t seem to quit your obsession with sky-high heels and moody platforms, finding a fitting denim inseam is a constant #tallgirlproblem. Getting just the right, floor-sweeping length is an issue your tailor can’t take care of — unlike for shorter girls who can get their hemlines raised like that — leaving you feeling like you’re unfairly resigned to a life of cropped cuts and flats forever. But 6’1″-model Karlie Kloss feels your pain, and is now making every tall girl’s dream jeans with her latest collaboration with Frame Denim.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel started working with the London and LA-based denim brand in May 2012 after a convo with its co-founders about how she couldn’t find the right longer-than-standard inseam to fit her soaring frame. The result: the “Forever Karlie” collection of jeans with longer 40-inch inseams (standard inseams hover around 30 inches). What started out as a two-style line featuring distressed skinny jeans and exaggerated flares has now expanded to include boyfriend jeans and shorts for pre-fall. As WWD reports, the two newer styles will offer a more relaxed look with lighter, vintage washes and roomier fit, which play right into the ongoing ‘70s trend — perfect to slip on under a tunic or fringed kimono and, of course, with disco diva platforms. You can find the $200 styles in high-end department stores or online at net-a-porter.com.
