Kim Kardashian Reveals the Sex of Baby No. 3 and What North Wants to Name Her New Sibling
Until recently, Kim Kardashian had been quiet about the third child that she and husband Kanye West are expecting via surrogate. In the last week, though, she has opened up about the difficulties of the process and even let fans in on the epic baby shower she threw over the weekend. Now, in a new interview on TheEllen DeGeneres Show, she’s offering up more details about the upcoming addition to her family.
After telling DeGeneres that one of the reasons for the baby shower was so that her daughter North, four, could understand and get excited about a baby coming, she let it slip that they’ll soon have another little girl in the family.
“People brought toys and gifts and she was opening them all up the next day,” Kardashian explained. “She said, ‘Mom, since baby sister’s not here, I think I need all of the toys in my room and I’ll play with them and just make sure they’re all okay for baby sister.’”
When the talk show host pointed out that she had just revealed the sex of her third child, Kardashian laughed and revealed how her kids have reacted to the news. “North [is] so excited — let’s see if it lasts,” she said, while explaining that Saint, two, is probably a little too young to understand it just yet.
As fans know, DeGeneres loves to suggest baby names to her celebrity guests, and even takes credit for having suggested Saint at one point to West. The reality star admitted that they’re currently “freaking out” because they don’t have a name yet, but declined suggestions such as “Lip Kit” (“Kylie would love that”), “Pop West,” and “Star West” — which Kardashian admitted that North had actually also suggested.
“You know what’s so funny? I’m not going to name her Star, but my daughter picks that name all the time,” she said, before saying she’s not into it. “I’m not vibing on it.”
