For months now, Lauren Conrad has been spilling details about her upcoming wedding like we’re all a part of her bridal party, and with every pic shared and plan dropped, we’re getting more and more pumped for the former Laguna Beach star to say I Do. So when LC unveiled exactly what her bridesmaids would be wearing on her big day for Martha Stewart Weddings, we totally flipped. Not just because the selection of gowns is beyond dreamy, but also because LC designed each one herself.
Modeled by five of the nine girls in her bridal party, the ethereal floor-length gowns all mimic the earthy color palette we saw Lauren wearing as a bridesmaid herself at her bff Maura McManus’s ceremony just a few weeks ago. But these taupe and peach creations come straight from LC’s sketchbook, all sweetly designed in romantic silhouettes that could easily be re-worked for other formal beachy events. And the fittings sound like they were a fairytale “I sent them all different shapes and let them pick from two colors,” LC told MSW. “I don’t mind if there are a few girls in the same dress or if people are all in different ones. It’s too difficult to take a group of girls and put them in the same color and silhouette; everyone has their own style.” Now that we know the bridal duds are all bride-designed, our expectations for an epic DIY wedding just got even bigger. But if any crafty celeb can deliver, it’ll be LC.
