As the gal behind a successful collection with Kohl's, founder of The Little Market, and a mama to a little one, Lauren Conrad definitely knows a thing or two about how to pick items that appeal to *everyone*. We tapped the style pro on her expert holiday gifting advice to make your trip to the mall this year a less stressful one. Scroll through for her insight and picks.
Experiential Gifts: Sometimes, experiences speak more to your favorite person than things. In this case, Conrad recommends something that's more tailored to what they love doing — rather than unwrapping. "Often people who help care for our children could use a little adult time. A gift certificate to a nice restaurant or spa is a great gift," she says. We recommend the Little Market Orange Gift Box ($90) to treat your babysitter, teachers, or friends to a calming night in.
Pet-lover Gifts: Have a giftee that's obsessed with their furry friend? Help them make it known with a personalized gift. "I have a painting of my dogs by Alexzandra Marie and I'm obsessed with it. She does beautiful watercolors, like this Custom Pup Portrait ($200+), so it's a nice gift to give for those who really love their pets," says Conrad.
Entertaining Gifts: Conrad is a firm believer in never showing up to a party empty-handed. *Especially* when a thoughtful touch can go a long way for the party-thrower. "When I attend a party, I like to bring the host a bottle of wine or champagne that I know they will like. These adorable LC Lauren Conrad Hat and Scarves ($20) make it feel more festive!" she says.
Tech Gifts: This year, more than ever, digitally-savvy products are all the rage. "Tech accessories are always a popular gift. I’ve recently added some really fun phone accessories, including portable chargers, rings, and carrying bags to my Kohl’s collection (like the LC Lauren Conrad Phone Ring that's only $16). They make great gifts because everyone has a phone and everyone is always on-the-go," Conrad says.
Foodie Gifts: In the season of all things yummy, gift your gal a cookbook geared at her tastebud. "For your friends that love to bake, I recommend this beautiful cookbook, Sweet Laurel ($20). It's full of delicious recipes that also happen to be grain-free, gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and dairy-free," says Conrad.
