Sign Up For Our Intro to Calligraphy Workshop in SF!
Most of us spend the majority of our daily lives hunched over a keyboard, pounding out email after email. There was a time, not long ago, when putting pen to paper (and even, gasp, writing using calligraphy) was the preferred method of communicating our devotion or scribing our innermost thoughts in one of those leather notebooks bound with a tiny lock.
If you have a hankering to pen a love letter to your beloved in your own hand, or you simply want to recall the lost art of handwriting, you’re in luck! Brit + Co is teaming up with Bri from Brown Fox Calligraphy on December 16 and December 21 at the Brit + Co Holiday Shop. Stop by 2120 Union Street in SF to take an Introduction to Calligraphy Workshop.
The two-hour workshop runs from 6pm to 8pm, and the $95 fee covers learning the basics of modern calligraphy. The class covers correct hand position, the upper and lowercase alphabet, numbers and connecting letters to form words. At the end of the class, you will create your very own set of calligraphy cards to take home.
Better yet, while you’re in the Brit + Co Holiday Shop, tackle some of your holiday shopping. As curators of all things DIY, we’ve stocked up on our best-selling products and supplies just for you. Oh, and did we mention that you can adorn your hand-crafted goodies at our FREE gift wrap station, complete with the most adorable selection of paper and ribbon? For the entire month of December, we will hanging out at 2120 Union Street in San Francisco, so come visit us between 11am and 8pm Monday through Saturday, or 11am Sundays. See you soon!
