Chloë Grace Moretz’s Face Wash Can Be Found… in Your Kitchen Cupboard!?
Chloë Grace Moretz knows a thing or two about skincare: The Widow actress has even been tapped as one of the gorgeous faces behind SK-II’s new #BareSkinProject, which sees celebs being snapped sans makeup to showcase the brand’s Facial Treatment Essence ($179). As she revealed to US Weekly, however, when it comes to her face wash, she reaches for two products that are already hiding in most kitchen cupboards!
Rather that sudsing up with a slew of pricey products a la her ex, Brooklyn Beckham‘s mom, Victoria Beckham, the 21-year-old told the outlet she uses olive oil or honey to wash her face — and only at night. “Simplicity is key for me,” she quipped.
If you’re scratching your head in confusion, allow us to explain. Beauty bloggers tout honey for its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, which goes a long way in quelling breakouts. The sticky substance is also plenty gentle on your skin, and, as Bustle has pointed out, it acts as a natural humectant, meaning it will help your skin to retain water — hello, youthful glow!
As for the olive oil, facialist Ram Prakash Khalsa previously told Coveteur that “It will give you a deep clean and really clean out the pores… “Oil goes into the pores and lifts out the makeup and dirt, and softens the blackheads, so that when you use a polisher or microfiber towel, it helps remove those blackheads or dead cells.”
Huh! Who knew!?
