Look: Chrissy Teigen Doesn’t Have Blonde Hair Anymore
Chrissy Teigen does not care about following typical spring beauty trends. On Oscar night, her glossy almost-black lip stood out in a sea of nude, pink and peach lipstick shades (and made us think twice about retiring our vampier shades this season). Now, Chrissy’s breaking one of the biggest beauty conventions ever by going from blonde to brunette at the onset of spring. We’re not just talking about a slightly warmer tone or more prominent streaks in her already sun-kissed hair: Chrissy has officially gone to the dark side with her new dye job.
The model gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek of the change in action, posting a snap of her hair caked with dark brown dye with the caption “LOOK WHAT IS HAPPENING.” The all caps drive the point home: this transition is major.
As shocking as it may be to see Chrissy with her new locks, you have to admit the result is gorgeous. There’s no doubt the even-toned, deep chestnut shade looks positively rich against her skin tone, but it is tough to say goodbye to her beachy highlights — if you ask us, no one rocked the bronde (brunette + blonde) trend better. But if the mesh of brown and blonde was so 2014, then maybe monochromatic color is 2015’s newest hair trend. If anyone could convince us of that, it’s Chrissy.
