This Geode + Geometric Themed Wedding Combines *All* the Trends
Weddings are all the more fun when they bring in some of your favorite trends, so it’s no wonder that brides are choosing to dial up the collected, eclectic factor with geode and geometric themes. And while you can’t go wrong with the traditional white wedding dress, gems and minerals add a certain positive vibe with shimmering textures, geometric shapes and cool colors. If you’re as much into these drop-dead gorgeous details, then get ready to pin every image of this vibrant wedding shoot that was shot by Red Balloon Photography and designed by Erin Padgett Events. Marble, terrains, agate and colorful geodes are just the perfect touches to make this theme dream come true. Scroll on for the perfect blend of modern and boho chic.
The bride wore a gorgeous gown by Melissa Sweet-Farren that combined boho and modern styles for the ultimate look. The girly bow on the back blended perfectly with the feathery mermaid gown, while the sweetheart neckline added a more delicate touch to the entire ensemble. To balance it off, Adrian Howe Beauty gave the bride a sleek updo paired with a delicate lace brooch.Talk about a simple yet totally modern bridal look.
We’re not sure which sparkles more: the gorgeous bride or that dreamy Kendra Scott necklace. This shimmering agate necklace makes for the perfect accessory for a boho chic wedding. Its vibrant colors are sure to turn heads. If you’re thinking of wearing a similar jewelry piece, personalize it by swapping in your favorite color. Wearing something you love on your big day will make you feel fabulous and super confident.
If you’re a non-traditional bride, then you’ll totally dig the shoes this bride wore. The team picked this swoon-inducing pair of wedding-day steppers that would make any geode-lover’s dreams come true. The bold and vibrant colors are sure to make you look (and feel) like a million bucks on your special day.
As is a must for any trendy nuptials, the floral bouquet, beautifully designed by Willow Branch Florals, made for a head-turning bridal accessory. The whimsical floral hues were the perfect palette to juxtapose the bold and vibrant look of the geode theme. To get the look yourself, keep in mind a simple, neutral palette for your blooms, plus lots of greenery and a hint of color. You’ll end up with a super stunning end result.
The tablescape included a carefully curated collection of mismatched candles from vintage stores. The colors, ranging from turquoise to mustard, were so spot on, and again, a subtle nod to that geode style. For the dreamy centerpieces, the team chose a mix of geometric terrariums. The lush flora sticking out of the case adds a special outdoorsy touch to the entire vibe.
You can’t have decorations inspired by rocks without some tasty bites inspired by those very same stones. The team opted for classic gold-dipped rock candy paired with rock cookies for the dessert table. If you’re digging this look, stick to highly pigmented colors for the cookies and lighter hues for the candy to create a fun ombre look.
This cake looks like it was cut from the same stone as an ancient Greek statue. This beauty took the geode and geometric trend to a whole new level by running a turquoise geode down all the layers of the dessert. This type of jewel-toned touch would go perfectly with any modern nuptials. And the golden fox toppers? Too cute!
