Kat Von D has always marched to her own beat when it comes to style, and her wedding ceremony was no exception. The famed tattoo artist walked down the aisle with Prayers singer Leafer Seyer this weekend wearing an unconventional wedding gown for the books.
As seen in a picture posted to Seyer’s Instagram page, the fashion designer traded in traditional white for a bold red ruffled Majesty Black creation with a matching veil. “In a couple hours I’ll be walking down the aisle with the love of my life,” Seyer wrote.
The look had us flashing back to the tiered tulle Maison Margela creation Katy Perry donned to the 2017 Met Gala.
Though Von D and Seyer were officially married back in February, the couple held a separate service this weekend for friends and family. The bride also shared a photo referencing their big day, showing off three symbolic carnations.
“Tomorrow, @prayers and I will have our wedding ceremony for our close frends and family,” she wrote. “This has been the sweetest, most stress-free experience where we continuously fell in love with each other all over again with each day counting down… Red carnations are @prayers‘ favorite flower, and the three represent him, me, and our sweet baby boy we are adding to our family.”
The twosome announced that they were expecting last month with a shot of the reality star holding her burgeoning belly along with the caption, “It’s a boy.”
