Kate Middleton’s Chic Fall Jacket Is Totally Accessible to Non-Royals
Among the many things we love about Kate Middleton, one of our favorites is that she’s a fashion icon for the masses as the Duchess has, on several occasions, been spotted in non-designer (i.e. legitimately affordable) outfits. Her most recent: A coat from none other than Zara.

The mom-to-be was all smiles as she walked down the street in London’s St. Pancras station over the weekend. The 35-year-old stepped out in a chic plaid grey coat from the fast fashion brand and kept the rest of her overall look simple by pairing the coat with a grey turtleneck, black skinny jeans, black booties, and a plain ponytail.
The Zara coat in question, aptly named The Checked Coat ($169), comes in one color called “blue,” (though if you ask us, it veers more in the grey palette). The outerwear features a lapel collar, hidden pockets in the front, and a single button in the front, which Middleton opted to leave (effortlessly) undone.
The menswear-inspired jacket retails for under $200, which, as far as coats for royalty go, is a steal! If you’re in the market for a cozy, stylish new jacket, hop on over to zara.com as soon as possible. We anticipate this coat — like everything else the Duchess dons — won’t be in stock for too much longer!
