As we cruise into 2018, it’s time to start looking to styles that will have their moments in the new year. Pulling from the High Point Market home decor trend report for winter and spring, we’ve found 12 fresh ‘n’ fun looks that feature everything from sculptural designs and bold color to clean silhouettes and lots of metallics. Considering they’re the largest home furnishing trade show in the biz, we’ll take their word for it on their upcoming predictions. 1. city of Angles

This style is all about geometrics and angular designs. Think shelves, ottomans, or anything that brings a new perspective to your traditional decor.

2. metallic details 

Metal makes for a powerful statement in a simple space. Use this to your advantage by pairing various types of metallic furnishings with softer elements for a noteworthy new look.

3. Globally Inspired 

We’re all for making a room feel more vibrant and fun. This trend plays exactly to that. Here, Moroccan pieces are mixed with rich hues to give the space character and a more worldly feel.

4. Graphic content

Add some eye-catching patterns and lots of bright hues and suddenly you’ve got a space that’s right in tune with this trend. When it comes to designing, a good rule of thumb is the more eclectic and over-the-top, the better!

5. Hard vs. Soft

In a battle of the elements, we pair light flowy pieces against harsher shapes and style. The result? One beautiful area that’s perfectly in sync.
