Olivia Culpo Shows Us Just How Unstuffy a Midi Skirt Can Be
While in Paris recently, she debuted another stunner of an outfit, this time featuring a midi skirt. A wardrobe staple for the last few years, the midi skirt can often look a little stuffy, but not the way Olivia styled it. She rocked it with a high slit, a sheer top and bralette and a cool jacket. While this is a super duper sexy look, you can easily remix your own midi skirt for whatever situation you might find yourself in, such as the weekend, a date night or at work.
Get funky with a metallic pleated midi skirt and dress it way down with sneakers and a tee. A bucket bag and simple earrings complete the look.
You can make the midi appropriate for date night like Olivia, but take it down a notch to make it more subtly sexy. A faux leather midi gets paired with a sheer striped chiffon top (you can wear a cami or a bralette under it, depending on your comfort level), and a cool collar necklace gets layered over top. Bright and streamlined accessories are the final touch to this “look at me” outfit.
It’s a classic shape for work, and there’s a good reason why — the midi was made for the office, thanks to its conservative length. That doesn’t mean it has to be boring, though; pair it with a lurex-woven cardigan, printed plaid top and some killer boots for a confidence-boosting work outfit.
