While there were plenty of adorable duos on last night’s Emmys carpet, one mother and daughter pair stood out from the pack, if only for their uncanny resemblance to one another. And, no, it’s not Reese and Ava.
Dressed in coordinating black floor-length gowns for the occasion, Wright, 51, who was nominated for an Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy for House of Cards, sparkled in a strapless black Thierry Mugler design while her daughter, 26, who she shares with ex Sean Penn dazzled in lace from Dolce & Gabbana.
There were subtle differences, to be sure (Penn opted for long loose waves where her mother sported shaggy, blunt bangs), but there was enough of a similarity to have us seeing double.
