Taylor and Russell Armstrong tied the knot in 2005 before welcoming their daughter, Kennedy, into the world in 2006. However, Russell ultimately took his own life in 2011.
Nearly 14 years later, Taylor recently appeared on an episode of Investigation Discovery's Hollywood Demons and recounted various shocking incidents of abuse.
First, she detailed how, while she and Russell were at a friend's home, he overheard her discussing their marital problems and shoved her into a swimming pool before holding her underwater.
"Russell, he left, and this couple, they were very close to me and were very aware of what was going on. The man said, 'We'll help you get out of this because this is not okay, and we're really worried for you,'" Taylor explained.
But it turned out that Russell hadn't actually left the property. He was allegedly hiding on the side of the house, meaning he heard everything Taylor said and was enraged.
"He came flying into the backyard. He threw me in the pool. He grabbed the man, knocked all of his teeth out, jumped in the pool, and he was trying to hold me under the water. I thought he was going to drown me," she revealed.

Another time, Russell allegedly threatened Taylor's life while his sons from a past relationship were visiting their home. Taylor had prepared pizza for them, but her late husband was angered by the lack of vegetables in the dish.
"He came into the house, grabbed me by the throat, and put me up against the wall. He said, 'If you ever serve my kids a pizza without a vegetable again, I'll kill you,'" she remembered.
Taylor came to find out that recording devices had been planted throughout their home, forcing her to realize that her privacy had been compromised. Yet, her tipping point was when Russell fractured her orbital floor during her 40th birthday celebration. At that point, she knew she needed to leave.
For her birthday, they'd visited a Four Seasons Hotel, and Russell gifted her eight different pairs of shoes, as well as "a really long card" discussing how he wasn't a "good husband." In the card, he also supposedly claimed that things were "going to change."
Later, though, while the pair was lying in bed following Taylor's birthday party, Russell accused her of cheating during a Las Vegas bachelorette party for Lisa Vanderpump's daughter, which was filmed by Bravo. According to Taylor, he "said something to the effect of, 'I know you slept with the Chippendales when you were in Vegas.'"
Then, Russell apparently kept pushing the topic and "would not let up." In the end, he struck Taylor, fracturing the bone that supports the eyeball.
"He raised up, leaned over like this, and punched me. He fractured my orbital floor, and so I went to see the doctor, and Russell went with me," she stated.

Taylor was forced to undergo reconstructive surgery for her injury. As for her marriage, she filed for divorce in July 2011, and Russell took his own life one month later. Taylor admitted to being shocked by his suicide, saying, "There were a myriad of things that he was very concerned about, but I never thought that he would kill himself. Suicide never crossed my mind."
We've been Taylor fans for years, but these details were shocking and truly heartbreaking. We hope she's feeling freer after sharing her story, and that she's taking care of herself!
