That meant she wasn’t, biologically speaking, my mother. For a while, that truth shook my whole world. It felt like a betrayal—like my entire identity had been built on a secret.
But the more I learned about the immense effort and sacrifice involved in IVF, the more my perspective changed. My mom chose to have me. She fought for me. She raised me, taught me to walk, talk, and love. No DNA test could ever change the fact that she’s my mom—100%, without question. Many of my friends who are adopted feel the same way about the parents who raised them. It’s a beautiful, complicated, and deeply human topic.

The Stranger in My Home isn’t just a thriller—it’s a story that digs into that age-old question of nature vs. nurture in a modern, emotionally gripping way.
