This Bar Is Serving Gilmore Girls-Themed Cocktails and Yes, One Is an Ode to Coffee

We’re ALL about the Gilmore Girls: From GG-inspired fashions to awesome home decor, we can’t get enough. Sadly, it seems like it might be a wrap on our fave mother-daughter show, given recent statements from Lauren Graham and Milo Ventimiglia. There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, however, and we’ve found our solace in the fact that we now can cry our tears of sorrow into Gilmore Girls-themed COCKTAILS at a bar in Brooklyn.

Grand Army, the city’s famed oyster bar located in Boerum Hill, is now offering not one, not two, but 12 drinks paying tribute to the comedic duo. Head bartender and co-owner Damon Boelte said the show’s community vibe helped him think up the dreamy concoctions. “We like to promote the friendly, communicative neighborhood vibes at Grand Army,” he told Grub Street. “It’s kind of mind-blowing to see how many cheerful people instantly picked these references up, a true testament to the cult status of Gilmore Girls.” Truer words have never been spoken!

With names like “Late Night at Luke’s,” “The Dragonfly Inn,” “En Garde” (this one features coffee amaro — you knew their had to be SOME reference to the girls’ favorite beverage!), and “Renoir Girl,” each cocktail is an ode to a unique GG reference that will please even the most die-hard fans. What’s more, every single beverage is lovingly created to look more like a work of art: Just check out “That Damn Donna Reed” (pictured above) that’s made with gin, Pisco, absinthe, hibiscus, and lime!

There’s also the “Hep Alien” with its Instagram-worthy yellow hue and green dots, “a refreshing, vegetal drink perfect for springtime,” which highlights seasonal ingredients mixed in with Spanish gin, Suze, arugula, and lime. Yum!

Our absolute fave, however, has to be “Sookie’s Mix.” Not only do we love its amazing name and the beloved character it salutes, but it’s made with crushed ice and a slew of seriously surprising ingredients, including house Thai curry, orange, and lime mixed with reposado tequila and rum.

If, like us, you can’t wait to get your hands on all 12, you’ll have to hurry: Grand Army changes things up each season, and the Gilmore Girls menu will only be available for spring.

Looks like we’re off to Brooklyn!
