Victoria Beckham Admits She’ll Feel ‘a Bit Left Out’ When She Sees the Spice Girls Reunion Tour
While four of the Spice Girls have been busy preparing for their highly anticipated UK stadium tour, Posh Spice, AKA Victoria Beckham, has been adamant about sitting this one out. Just like in 2016, when the girls celebrated their 20th anniversary, the 44-year-old has decided not to join the ladies on stage. And she has mixed feelings about it.
Speaking with The Guardian, the singer-turned-designer confirmed that she won’t be making any cameos during the tour — “No. Definitely not” — before explaining that it’s because all of her time is devoted to her fashion empire. “What I do now is my passion and a full-time job,” she said.
Which isn’t to say she’s totally indifferent about the whole thing. “I’m excited to see it, though,” Beckham continued. “And I’m sure when I’m there and they are on stage, there will be a part of me that feels a bit left out. Because even after all this, a part of me will always be a Spice Girl.”
Back in November, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Beckham would be passing on the tour because “she has a family to look after and a business to run.”
Meanwhile, the fashionista herself took to Instagram to wish her former bandmates the best of luck as soon as the announcement was made. “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!” she wrote.
“I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year,” she continued. “I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”
The Spice Girls reunion tour kicks off on May 29 at Etihad Stadium in Manchester, UK.
