Adele has been known to play with our heartstrings. Whether it’s her very long breaks from the music industry or lyrics that somehow instantly have you reaching for the tissues, she definitely has a knack for making us cry. And today is no exception. According to UK publication The Sun, Adele might not go on tour again for a DECADE.
The Sun writes, “The singer, has announced to friends she is ready to give up global gigs for the next ten years in order to be a full-time mum to son Angelo.” This isn’t the first time Adele has spoken out about having motherhood be her main priority ATM. And we know full well she loves to make us wait. There was a four-year gap between her newest album and its predecessor.
But before you decide it’s worth it to spend $1,000 on nosebleed seats for a ticket to her current tour, there might be a light at the end of this very sad, very silent tunnel. The Sun also reports there has been talk of Adele starting a Vegas residency. A source tells the newspaper, “A regular Vegas show appeals to her because it is in one place and she would be able to maintain a normal life, but it won’t happen for a number of years.” Understandable, and also commendable to be honest.
We’ll come to you Adele. Just please don’t make us wait 10 years for another perfect break-up album. PLEASE.
