As we’re coming to the end of Aquarius’ time to celebrate (for their birthdays anyways), we present you with the best makeup for babes born between January 20 and February 18. Inspired by the water symbol’s roots, we painted the perfect palette in hues of blue with a royal smokey eye. Just like the traditional cat eye that Capricorns inspired, you don’t have to be Aquarian to vibe on this look! We know how much fun one can have with all things that relate to your star sign. From the best workout for your zodiac sign to gifts you would buy your BFF based on which horoscope they read, these mystic low-downs continue to give us inspiration. Here’s how to shine bright in the makeup department according to your sign, Aquarians!

Aquarius Beauty Profile

Our Aquarian beauty possesses an undeniable confidence often exuding a stubbornness with her disposition on all things in life because she truly believes in the greater good of her intentions. She often views everyone around her as a friend and lives in a world where she believes making friends and spreading love will change the world. Being the sign of the water bearer, our Aquarius beauty possesses the same flowing confidence in her often bold beauty routine as she does in her daily sharing of thoughts and visions. Whether she’s going to work or out on a date, our Aquarian gal feels her best when she’s done up to the nines — which is why these smudgy hues of blue liner and a soft, smokey eye paired with glowing skin and a neutral, pouty lip is perfect for her zodiac beauty look!

The Makeup Look For Aquarius: Royal Blue Smokey Eye + Nude Lip

Get The Look

aq2Prep: Apply your base makeup with your go-to flawless face routine. For your blush you want to opt for a soft shimmer in a peachy hue like NARS Blush in Orgasm ($30). Apply to the apples of your cheeks and blend up towards your cheekbones. Keep your highlighter matte by using a brightening matifying powder like NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder ($37) on your upper cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose.

Step 1: Contour: Apply a neutral shadow in the creases of your eyes and along your lower lash line to add the first layer of dimension. A favorite of ours is Urban Decay Naked Palette in Naked ($54).

Step 2: Royal Smokey Eye: Now you can get into the details of the blue smokey eye. Start by adding a deep navy blue shadow like Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue ($8) from the outside creases into the center of your eyelids and on the outer corner of your lower lash line. Next blend a lighter blue metallic eyeshadow like Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in Infinite Sky ($8) from the center of your eyelids, slightly going over the navy and into the inside corners of your eyes and along the inside corner of your lower lash line.

Step 3: Nude Lip: Keep your lips nude and matte to really allow your eyes to draw the well deserved attention! A favorite if you can get your hands on the set is First Kiss from the LOC Complete Tati Collection for Lips ($18). Your lips may be nude but they’ll still be totally kiss worthy!!

Final Touches: Liner + Mascara: Use a deep navy liquid eyeliner like Wet n’ Wild Graphic Marker Eyeliner in Navy, which you can find at your local drug store. Curl your eyelashes and add a few coats of your favorite black mascara to seal the deal!

Bold beauty doesn’t always mean over the top! You can totally rock this royal look at your office or out on your next big date. You could also apply the lighter blue alone for an even milder version of this sassy shadow.
