Longoria recently gushed toEntertainment Tonight about how she'd love to reprise her role as Gabrielle Solis. "Oh my God, yes! I would be the first to sign up for the reboot," she said without hesitation. "[Desperate Housewives showrunner] Marc Cherry knows that. I've told him a hundred times. I was like, 'Let's do it again. I miss Wisteria Lane. I miss the girls. I miss Gabby Solis. I miss being her.'"

When viewers first met Gabrielle Solis, she was heralded as a supermodel who basically became the trophy wife of businessman Carlos Solis. It's immediately clear that her character is one that viewers will love to hate, but the reason behind her personality is slowly revealed throughout the show.
She experienced trauma as a teenager, causing her to leave home and forge a new path that was far removed from her past. Of course, trauma doesn't excuse one's behavior, but it certain gave viewers a different look at Gabrielle and her many, many questionable life choices.
