An Inside Look at The Eloise Suite at The Plaza Hotel: It’s Tres Chic!

As a native New Yorker, I grew up watching "Eloise at Christmastime" every year with my family and have always longed to visit The Plaza Hotel. The film took place at the hotel although most of the filming actually occurred in Toronto, Canada. Regardless, my love of Eloise led me to a strong desire to visit The Plaza Hotel in New York City and I was fortunate enough to get an inside look at the vibrant and eloquent Eloise Suite — and let me just say it's *tres* chic and super Instagrammable.
Here's a look inside New York’s most Instagrammable room!

An Overview of The Eloise Suite at The Plaza
The Eloise Suite at The Plaza Hotel is a king bedroom suite located on the 18th floor. You can't miss it as you walk down the hallway since the door is bright pink and white. The suite was designed by Betsey Johnson and has everything a six-year-old girl (especially Eloise) would love — pink and white walls, a sparkly pink headboard, a zebra print carpet, floral upholstery and magnificent views of Central Park — oh, and I can't forget about the large pink neon "Eloise!" sign above the bed and the stand with her iconic pink tutu.
When I stepped inside this room, I was awestruck. I felt like I just stepped into Eloise's bedroom with the design and the attention to detail — her clothes in the closet and books, toys and dolls lining the shelves. The curtains even have pictures of Eloise on them alongside some of her signature catchphrases such as "Charge it, please" as do the pictures framed on the walls. You also can't miss the larger than life stuffed animals of her dog Weenie and turtle Skipperdee — so adorbs!
The fun and whimsy even extends into the bathroom with its pink and gold accents and tiny chandelier. There's even a bathtub so you can unwind and relax in arguably one of the most magnificent and nostalgic suites in all of New York City.

How Much Is One Night In The Eloise Suite At The Plaza?
All of this splendor does come at a pretty hefty pricetag, but in true Eloise fashion… "Charge it, please!" The 625 square-foot Eloise Suite varies in price, however, the room typically costs between $2,000 to $3,000 depending on the season. You're essentially paying for the novelty and location in the prestigious hotel, however, it does come with a few added amenities such as an Eloise gift bag with a special tote bag, Eloise sweatshirt, and other fun Eloise gifts to take home, a welcome letter from Eloise and welcome sweets and goodies (including pink lemonade!).
There's also the option to book an adjacent "Nanny" Edwardian Suite if you'd like. I didn't have a chance to look in that but it's there if you are looking for some more space depending on the size of your travel party.
At the end of the day, a visit to The Plaza Hotel in general is a treat, however, getting the chance to stay in this novelty suite is next level — truly an unforgettable experience whether you book it with friends for a bachelorette party or spend the night during the holidays.

Eloise Section at The Plaza Boutique
If you can't spend the night at the hotel (we know, it's pricey), then you can make a visit to The Plaza Boutique which is the gift shop. Inside you'll find a boatload of Eloise merchandise from dolls and Kay Thompson's Eloise books to backpacks and t-shirts with her face them them. These work as a great souvenir for yourself or if you're looking for the perfect gift for a fellow Eloise fan in your life.

Children's Eloise Tea at The Palm Court
The fun doesn't stop at the gift shop. If you have little ones ages 12 and under, then they will love Children's Eloise Tea at The Palm Court. The menu consists of savory and sweet bites including peanut butter and jelly, grilled cheese, orange banana honey and egg custard fingers sandwiches alongside scones, an Eloise macaron, an "E" lollipop, strawberry cheesecake, a berries and cream tart and candied apple. As for the tea, there's a hot tropical garden tea or more kid-friendly picks such as pink lemonade and Shirley Temple. It's a pretty penny at $95 per child, however, it's a unique experience you can only find at The Plaza Hotel.
