Emily Blunt’s $28 Hair Accessory Is Your New Date Night Style Staple
We love when our favorite celebrities rock affordable looks on the red carpet, so we appropriately freaked out when Emily Blunt showed up at the Time 100 Gala rocking the perfect date night hair look as she posed with husband John Krasinski… and the good news is, her gorgeous hair accessory can be yours for less than 30 bucks.
Our favorite celeb couple stepped out in New York City on April 24 to celebrate Krasinski, who appears on Time’s list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2018. And of course, the Quiet Place costars looked glamorous with a Grecian-inspired hairpiece that had us doing a double take — and you can recreate the look at home using the same $28 gold hair accessory she sported.
The mom-of-two rocked a braided look created by celebrity hairstylist and inventor of The Beachwaver Co, Sarah Potempa. The pro worked her magic on Blunt’s mane, blow drying with a side part and smoothing her hair with The Beachwaver Co. Coast Pro Ceramic Styling Iron ($149).

Potempa then separated the Mary Poppins Returns star’s hair into three sections and created a French braid, leaving out some face-framing pieces for a romantic touch. She repeated on the other side, being sure to “pancake the braid by gently tugging on the edges of the hair to give it more texture and width.”
Then, she took the two tails of the braid and wrapped them around each other, securing to the base with bobby pins. She curled the face-framing pieces using the iron, before smoothing flyaways with a flexible hairspray.

The finishing touch comes thanks to Potempa’s The Beachwaver Co. gold leaf chain ($28), which she secured with bobby pins to Blunt’s roots. Proof that you don’t need to spend a million bucks to get regal, red carpet-worthy hair.
