French-girl style has long been our obsession, but during Fashion Week (New York, London, Milan and Paris editions), there was another chic set that captured our attention — the hoards of fashionable femmes hailing from Italy’s sartorially sound streets. You can always count on the Italian crowd to cause a stir, with style heavy hitters like Anna Della Russo, Chiara Ferragni and Giovanna Engelbert arriving at the most talked-about shows — mobs of street style photographers in tow — in flawless ensembles that made our jaws drop. Here, we’ve pulled some of our favorite examples of Italian girl style from the last few weeks. Ready your Instas — you’re going to want to follow these stylish women stat.
1. Erika Boldrin at Paris Fashion Week: Erika Boldrin gets bonus points for striking the perfect balance of comfort and cool with a snuggly oversized sweater dress and knee-high boots. Modern chandelier earrings lent the look just enough glam factor to achieve an after-hours edge — essential for a swanky fashion soiree.

2. Elenora Carisi at Milan Fashion Week: Stuffy suiting? Not on Elenora Carisi’s watch. The founder of Jou Jou Villeroy and Grumble Creative proved that falling in line doesn’t have to mean playing it safe, with a mustard yellow suit that was straight-up goals. We’ll take three, thanks.

3. Candela Novembre at Milan Fashion Week: Checks on checks on checks. Candela Novembre did daytime shimmer like none other for Marni, layering a sequin-studded shift over a checked midi dress for a mismatched look that totally nailed it.

4. Chiara Ferragni at Paris Fashion Week: Lazy girls everywhere, take note. Say sayonara to standard GNO attire and adopt this laid-back look as your signature. Luxe satin and a daring neckline (which you could totally tone down with a lace-trimmed cami) read after-hours ready, especially when paired with classic ankle-strap heels.
5. Tamu McPherson at Paris Fashion Week: The Milan-based photographer started her career as an attorney in New York before she made waves on the street style scene. At Paris Fashion Week she channeled tropical vibes — so appropriate for the spring/summer shows — with a vibrant cropped jumpsuit styled alongside a dreamy blue velvet jacket with endless RN appeal.

6. Valentina Siragusa at Paris Fashion Week: Bella! To say Valentina Siragusa’s PFW getup was perfection would be an understatement. The style influencer did the mix-and-match thing like a bonafide boss, teaming a dramatic swan printed maxi dress with abstract ankle boots. She rounded out the look with statement cat-eyeglasses and an understated cross-body bag for the win.
7. Giovanna Engelbert at New York Fashion Week: Englebert’s neon pink ensemble became an instant Insta sensation, and it’s easy to see why. The editor’s playful pleated midi skirt exuded It-girl edge styled with a sassy graphic tee (that read Pink AF, no less) and bold floral embellished heels. Best believe we’ll be busting out this one on the regular.

11. Veronica Ferraro at New York Fashion Week: Ferraro opted for an athleisure ensemble for NYFW, donning bright green culottes, a graphic tee and a satin bomber jacket. Details like embellished stilettos and statement retro-inspired shades ushered the outfit into glamazon territory.
12. Eva Geraldine Fontanelli at Milan Fashion Week: Eva Fontanelli showcased her infamous tomgirl style during Milan Fashion Week, sporting a playful printed jumpsuit and oversized menswear blazer. Scoring extra points in the practicality department, the editor show-hopped in a set of pointed-toe flats that we need to track down asap.

13. Anna Della Russo at Milan Fashion Week: No list of Italian It-girl style would be complete without mention of Anna Della Russo. The queen of the street-style scene sported a relatively low-key look (albeit it being head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana) of distressed skinny jeans, ankle-strap heels and a military-inspired jacket. Bonus points are definitely awarded for the teal highlights.

It can be intimidating to step out on your own and build a business from the ground up. As part of our collaboration with Office Depot, we're talking with Selfmade alum and solopreneur Colette Lawrence, the faith-based motivator and relationship builder behind The M.E.E. Movement, about ways in which women in business can find success.
B + C: How did you know M.E.E. Movement was your business to start?
The M.E.E Movement represents motivation, empowerment, and encouragement for women. It is what represents me. I did not know at first that it was my business to start, but then the thought of monetizing what I loved came to me. It scared me, however. I registered the business in July 2020 and have been slowly building my wings since.
B + C: What's one strategy that's helped you start your business?
Thinking through and researching what the requirements are to start my business, and then asking questions of people who are in the business. Not all advice worked; however, it helped me to figure out what I needed to do and not to do.
B + C: Did you always know life coaching would be your entrepreneurial path?
(Smiles) No, I did not. I 'stumbled" on it. I knew that people were always coming to me for advice and I found that I loved having conversations with them, especially with women, young and old.
B + C: What was your most valuable takeaway from Selfmade?
My most valuable takeaway was the first day of training: Get out of your own way. There were a lot of great moments and important takeaways from every presenter. However, getting out of my own way, pushing past doubts, was for me my most valuable takeaway. Doing something that I had never done before took courage. If I do not focus on what is happening with me mentally then I cannot deliver to my clients successfully.
B + C: What's one piece of advice you would give to female entrepreneurs on the brink of starting?
Get out of your head. You have something to offer. You have what you need to succeed so go ahead and do it.
B + C: How do you stay motivated?
I stay motivated by listening to music and listening to motivational speakers, and sometimes someone will just reach out and talk about the impact that I made in their life. That adds the extra juice or sauce I need to pummel through the day.
B + C: What's your best organizational tip?
Keep a diary and journal. It's the best way for me to keep organized and it also provides a source motivation as I record not only my "losses" but my wins as well.
B + C: Who inspires you in the entrepreneurial space?
Shirley Toliver – She motivates and empowers and makes me always want to show up.
B + C: What has receiving the Office Depot scholarship to Selfmade done to help you start or grow your business?
The scholarship was a blessing in that all the areas that were covered offered valuable information that I needed, from social media to HR. As a new business owner, I needed to know this to increase my own personal awareness in what it takes to run a successful business. The candidness of the presenters made it easy to see myself in their shoes and helped me to realize that I can also get there.
Thanks Colette! You can follow The M.E.E. Movement on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
