This Celebrity-Approved Eye Tint Is Perfect for Makeup Minimalists

Another day, another eyeshadow palette launch that the beauty world can’t get enough of. But if the flurry of hyped palettes is starting to feel overwhelming, then abandon the powdered multi-packs and meet the product that’ll take you back to basics in the best way possible — and make you fall in love with eyeshadow again.

Celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey’s Lid Tints Satin Eyeshadow ($28) is the perfect eye product for low-maintenance women who want simple, timeless lid looks without having to buy cumbersome palettes. “The Lid Tints were created for the girl on the go and the person who does not wish to spend a lifetime in the mirror applying powder eyeshadow,” says Dempsey.

With celeb clients that include Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Jennifer Lawrence, and Kate Winslet, Dempsey is the MUA behind some of your favorite red carpet looks. And many of her famous makeup artist friends look to her lid tints to create a soft wash of color that’s sophisticated but never fussy.

The mostly warm shade range is ideal for those who want to incorporate color, but still really feel more comfortable with neutrals. The hues run the gamut from a clear gloss (Dew), to a dainty, glittery pink (Lilac), to rusty, red shades that can moonlight as lip and cheek stains (Ruby, Glimmer, and Peach).

If you’re an eyeshadow traditionalist who loves using a brush, pick up a nylon bristled brush and apply in small circular motions for a subtle look. But if you consider yourself more of an adventurous type of lady, then feel free to use your fingertips to glide the product over your lids for a flush of concentrated color.

The best part? Each lid tint is preservative-free and formulated with plant-derived ingredients. Win win!
