Just One Look tells the story of a husband and wife, Jacek and Greta, who live a seemingly picture-perfect life. Their relationship is sweet and loving enough to make all their close friends envious, and they’re one of those couples who aren’t afraid to tell each other everything. Or so Greta thought…
After the couple goes on a family vacation, Greta decides to go through all the family photos they took throughout the trip. Yet within that photo collection appears an extremely ominous photograph of her hubby, Jacek, with a band of unsavory-looking characters. Just who are these people? And why is her husband a part of this gang of individuals who raise nothing but suspicion within Greta?
In her attempt to gain a clearer understanding of the situation, Greta asks Jacek what the heck is up with that photo. She probes him, the husband she thought she could go to about anything, but he refuses to provide answers. Directly after this scene, Jacek is nowhere to be found and has seemingly up and left Greta. Does this have to do with the photograph? And what can it all mean?
As Greta attempts to uncrack the mystery so she can revive her family unit, she’s forced to confront her traumatic past involving a fire that nearly left her dead. She continuously has nightmares about the fire that left her both emotionally and physically scarred. Despite the fact that it occurred 15 years prior, it still plays a key role in her psyche, regardless of how desperately she’s trying to suppress it.
