I love nothing more than the relationships between the Bridgerton cast members, and in honor of Bridgerton season 3, part 2, Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington) posted the cutest throwback with her onscreen love interest (and IRL best friend), Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton). It's truly such a fun call back for their characters that makes me love them even more!
"Two Days," Nicola Coughlan captioned the post ahead of the part 2 drop on June 13, 2024. "Year Three- Year One." The post features two mirror selfies in the same spot: one from Bridgerton season 3 and the second from Bridgerton season 1. These pics are a super fun look into the set, but they also serve as a little nod to THAT one steamy mirror scene. Naturally, fans are obsessed!
"Does it ever drive you crazy how fast the night changes?!" one user comments, referencing the iconic One Direction song.
The official Bridgerton Instagram account agrees, adding, "Overwhelmed with excitement," while the official IMDb account says, "We. Cannot. Wait. #polin 5ever."
Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton have certainly grown closer since the beginning of the show, and Nicola revealed to E! News that the two have been dance partners for quite awhile! "We've actually been dance partners for five years. So we had a certain physical comfort level with each other which helps immensely [with the steamy scenes]."
"We truly love each other," she adds in an interview with Extra. We can definitely feel the love between them come through onscreen, and I can't wait to see even more in Bridgerton season 4!
