Halloween is mere days away. Do you know what your costume is gonna be? Maybe you’ve been working on your DIY group Disney Princess costume with your squad for weeks, or maybe you’re just going to go for one of these lazy-girl t-shirt options. But if you’d rather wear something you own and instead pair it with a beautiful — and convincing — makeup job, we’ve got some ideas for you.
So before you resort to one of the many apps out there designed to help last-minute costume makers pull something together, check out these makeup artists’ and beauty bloggers’ STUNNING transformations into their favorite Snapchat filters.
You’ve seen Kim Kardashian use this one all the time with North and with other pals on her Snapchat, and now you can be your very own squeaky-voiced deer (okay, the voice thing is up to you). Arshia’s Makeup shows you how to make your own adorbs deer. Ears not included!
Whoa — you can hardly tell this is makeup and not, in fact, a filter. Artist Mariam Rahman shows you how to get the pop art look.
This one relies less on makeup know-how and more on your DIY crafting skills. So go ahead, follow Tesni Alys’ step-by-step guide on how to put together the dog filter and unleash your own Lauren Conrad! She’s also got crafty DIYs for the deer filter and the shimmery butterfly crown.
And you can copy this light and shimmery look from Born Cosmetics’ Kimberley Anh to go with it!
And yet another: This detailed and delicate interpretation of the butterfly filter from MUA Melissa Sassine is inspired, to say the least.
Beauty Youtuber Alva Jay’s take on the paint splatter filter is taken up a notch with those piercing blue contact lenses. Incredible detail.
Katie Bright claims that makeup is magic, and with one look at her bee filter face, we would have to agree. Stunning. (FYI, she also does a mean deer!)
Promise Tamang is known for her amazing makeup transformations, but she keeps things relatively minimal with this Forever 21 flower crown and pretty pastels, and really goes for it with those amazing lashes.
Another impressive application from Promise, but, *clears throat* NNNNOOOOOOOOPE.
This goopy, textured version of the OG cartoon rainbow puke looks a little too cumbersome for our costume tastes, but points for beautiful execution from this renowned special effects artist Jordan Hanz!
