Forgive us for jumping the gun on this one, but Game of Thrones is coming to an end. Sure, it won’t be for another few years, but when it was announced this summer that season eight would be its last, we were almost happy to also hear that season seven would be delayed, not only because it sounds like we’re not ready for that jelly, but mostly just to delay the inevitable just a little longer.

Because we’re more than happy to take comfort in material goods and other TV shows to help ease both the off-season and pending-end blahs, HBO’s latest show Westworld just might be the key to coping.

Westworld premiered just this week and is already getting a ton of buzz. The sci-fi/fantasy drama is definitely pretty different than GoT: It takes place in a futuristic Western theme park (that’d be Westworld) that’s inhabited by droids. Okay!

Aside from the lovely Evan Rachel Wood, Westworld has a cast of faces you’re already pretty familiar with: James Marsden, Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Thandie Newton and Luke Hemsworth also star, along with lots more, making up a pretty big, and pretty stellar ensemble cast, not unlike GoT.

When HBO was teasing the show earlier this summer, they described Westworld as a place where “every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.” Which definitely sounds like GoT‘s dark dramatics to us — for better or worse.

If you’re not so keen on futuristic stuff, skip this. But if you’re just looking for a new elaborate, expensive fantasy escape, this is definitely one for you.

We’ll be watching.
