This Celeb-Photobombing Dinosaur Is Taking Over Instagram
Having an epic selfie wall covered with snaps of us posing alongside today’s biggest stars like it’s NBD definitely tops our bucket list. In fact, it’s in our Top 5. Right under #1) Perfectly replicating Elle Fanning’s bubblegum pink hair and #2) Scoring a Pokemon engagement ring.

Dino has been expertly Photoshopping himself into pics for close to a year now and his Instagram feed is giving us all kinds of goals. We’re kiiiiind of obsessed, and we’re not alone! After Bored Panda featured his handiwork on their site, Lorenz’ number of Instagram followers jumped to close to 30K in just a few days, and his computer skills have been trending ever since.
It all started with Dino photobombing the iconic 1945 Times Square kiss, and it’s only gotten better from there. We figured Dino was just superimposing his awesome self into his fave photographs, but as he told us in a hilarious interview, that’s not the case at all. At. All.

First off: He insists that the dinosaur costume isn’t a costume. “It was in 1945 when my dino friends and I thought that it was time for me to become famous,” he said, totally serious, when we spoke earlier this week. “To show the world that there are still dinos out there. I started to connect with people that know people that know people — it was just the right time for a dino to become famous. In those tough times, I felt it was necessary for people to have a dino to hold onto!”
So how does Dino choose the celebrities he hangs with? “Usually, my friends choose me,” he clarifies. “I mean, they just really want to hang out with me. Of course, I don’t get along with all the celebs. I’m a Belieber and Selena, well, she isn’t anymore. As you can see, my friends are just the most popular ones, and I like that!”
Once an A-list costar is chosen, it’s “just like any modelling job. First, there is the setup of equipment,” he explains. “Then the photographer gets ready, we get dressed, get makeup — there are a lot of people behind this. Just think about all the lighting and the cameras! I wouldn’t be able to do all that myself, right?!”

Asked to pick one star he’d love to pose with in real life, Dino wastes no time naming Ellie Goulding, and being completely shocked by our question. “What do you mean in real life?! Like, if I wasn’t a dino? That’s difficult to imagine, but I think I’d have a much better chance of dating Ellie. I did have some great pick-up lines, but we never had more than a job or two together. She sees me as a friend. She needs a diamond on her finger… a dino diamond!”
If you love Dino and his funny celebrity selfie series as much as we do, keep your eyes peeled for him to pop up on YouTube next. “Social media is great!” he gushes. “I’ll certainly keep doing this, but it only works if the jobs keep coming and my followers stick with me!” We’ll stick with you until the next Ice Age, Dino!
