The First All Plus-Size Collection in Project Runway History Is Gorgeous

Project Runway finalist Ashley Nell Tipton made history by creating an absolutely dreamy all plus-size collection and sending it down the runway at NYFW last Friday. Yep, despite being a multi-billion dollar industry, this is the first time such a collection was featured in all 14 seasons of the show. Needless to say, this was a ground-breaking moment in the world of plus-size fashion.

Ashely Nell, the 24-year-old designer hails from San Diego, California and sports purple unicorn-colored hair. Naturally, the collection she conceived matches her colorful persona.

The collection feature swoon-worthy bold and pastel colors, lots of intricate floral details and so much beautiful sheer lace. The gorg models sported boho flower headpieces, soft ringlets and a bold wine-colored lip that looked amazing on every skin tone.

It’s unclear how far Ashley made it on PR; even though the premise of Project Runway is that only a handful of designers make it to Fashion Week, others show “decoy collections” depending on how many contestants are still on the show airing when NYFW happens IRL. We hope she’s a winner — how beautiful are these details?! We want everything now.

The show also featured plus-size model Liris Crosse, who previously broke boundaries by booking a lingerie campaign with UK retailer, Goddess Lingerie. She looked positively stunning in a textured pink A-line skirt and a matching bustier crop top.
