They’re here! We’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of George and Amal Clooney’s twins (almost as eagerly as we’ve been awaiting Beyoncé’s own pair of bebes), and news has just started buzzing that the Clooney babies have made their big entrance into the world.
“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives,” a rep for the couple said in a statement according to E!, confirming that the new parents have welcomed a little girl and little boy, just what the actor’s mother claimed they were having back in February.
The statement continued, “Ella, Alexander, and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine.” Of course, the new daddy wasn’t left out, with the rep adding, “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.” Bahaha! No doubt.
While 39-year-old human rights lawyer Amal Clooney seemed to continue on as usual throughout her pregnancy (i.e. speaking in front of the UN and other incredibly impressive feats that are her norm), her 56-year-old husband of nearly three years, George Clooney, revealed his thoughts on becoming parents for the first time with the French program Rencontres de Cinema according to E!, saying, “We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure. We’ve sort of embraced it all… with arms wide open.”
Congratulations to George and Amal, Ella and Alexander on the start of their grand adventure together!
