Dance Through Halloween With This La La Land Couples Costume

Fun fact about me: I have an addictive personality, meaning that when I like something, I REALLY like it. (If you know me and my Disney obsession, this may not be a surprise for you.) One of my favorite things last year was the movie La La Land. I watched it multiple times in theaters and had the soundtrack on repeat for weeks. I love musicals, LA, old Hollywood, Emma, and Ryan, so come Halloween this year, I HAD to make a La La Land couples costume!

This costume is v. easy to put together, and once you have it on, you’ll be ready to dance and sing your way through Halloween!

For Emma Stone’s character, Mia, I scored big on this EZ Shoot Yellow Dress ($19) from Walmart. It’s an actual replica of the dress she wore during the A Lovely Night dance scene. I picked up a pair of Ollio Oxford shoes ($26) and a KeeWig Strawberry Blonde Wavy Wig ($17) from Amazon. Beauty Guru Misty trimmed the wig to the perfect Emma Stone lob.

Be sure to style the wig by adding some hairspray and shine spray to take it to the next level. Piece it out with your fingers and a bristle brush. Keep her makeup natural with a bold brow!

Oh Ryan Gosling… is there nothing he can’t do? To put together the dapper ensemble of Ryan Gosling’s character, Sebastian, I bought a pair of black pants, a white shirt, a black belt, and a black tie all from Ross. Then, I found a pair of black and white Enzo Romeo Oxfords ($18) from Amazon. Slick your hair into a Ryan Gosling-esque silhouette using a pomade.

Your friends will never know the secret of why your place smells so darn good!)
