Wait — come again? The woman who’s practically been the poster child for the Internet-crazed technique (we’re still trying to wrap our heads around clown contouring) is putting down the brushes? Well… sort of.
That’s what she told makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and Vogue editor-at-large Fiona Golfar in an interview at the British Vogue festival yesterday.
“I think it’s more about nontouring, like real skin with less makeup on it,” Kim said. For a woman who admitted to giving birth to her first child in a full face of the stuff, it’s a shocking revelation, to say the least.
Though she didn’t explicitly say we had Kayne to thank for the new, more natural Kim, she hinted at it, saying “I’m trying to wear less… and my husband loves me without makeup.”
Not to worry, makeup lovers — Kim hasn’t gone full-on no makeup Gwen selfie or anything. “I’m really into strobing now, so just highlighting the skin without using bronzer,” she shared. She also admitted that she’ll likely still be contouring at least one part of her face: her nose. “I don’t think I’d stop contouring my nose. I know people think I’ve had a nose job, but it really is just makeup.”
Fair enough, Kim — it ain’t easy going cold turkey!
