The best part of Halloween, other than costumes, is the candy (duh!). This year, you can even eat it for breakfast as Krispy Kreme‘s introducing a new Trick-or-Treat donut. It features an Original Glazed donut dipped and drizzled in salted caramel and topped with various crushed Halloween candies (M&M’s, Twix, and Snickers).
The new Trick-or-Treat donut is available starting today through Halloween at participating locations and joins other Krispy Kreme Halloween options like Monster Batter, which is loaded up with cake batter filling, slime-green icing, monster eyes, and sprinkles and the classic Jack-O-Lantern Kreme-filled donut and the Chocolate Iced donut with Halloween sprinkles. “Our newest collection brings the fun-filled spirit and delicious flavors of Halloween, creating an unexpected treat option for celebrations all month long,” Allison Holder, vice president of U.S. marketing for Krispy Kreme, said in a statement.
Even better than a holiday-themed donut is getting one for free. Certain locations will give away a donut to anyone who wears a costume in-store on Halloween. That sounds a lot more like a treat than a trick to us.
