Improve Your Posture With Lumo’s Latest Gadget, Lift
We’re always on the lookout for the latest and greatest gadgets to help us live our lives more efficiently and keep us as healthy as possible, so it’s no wonder that Lumo’s newest daily activity tracker immediately popped up on our radar.
Lumo Lift is a small sensor that focuses on your posture, more specifically, the way you hold your chest, shoulders and upper back. Why do you care about sitting up properly? Because! Having good posture makes you a more confident person, improves your appearance and helps you to be healthier and more active. Now we have your attention, eh?
Lumo Lift’s sensor can be magnetically clasped onto your shirt, undershirt or even your bra strap. Basically, it can be worn almost anywhere on your chest or shoulders and still work. And for all of the fashionistas out there, Lift comes in almost every color of the rainbow, and they’ve even created stylish gem add-ons that you can use to make your Lift super glam.
Lumo’s product is different from the other billion activity trackers out there because Lift, and its predecessor LUMOback, are the only trackers that measure your posture while still tracking your activity and movement. As soon as you hit the PowerUp mode, Lift begins tracking your upper body posture, sending you a gentle vibration to remind you to bring your shoulders back and lift your head up. The device focuses less on numbers and more on feedback, providing users with valuable tips via push notifications to help them reach their goals.
What this all adds up to is a device that helps you stand and sit taller and more confident, all the while continuing to track all those steps and calories burned like every other fitness tracker out there. So, what’s the catch? There isn’t one as far as I can tell. In fact, it sounds so good that I pre-ordered one for myself. Lift has a battery life of of five days and recharges in under two hours. It’s compatible with basically all of your Apple products and will be available for Android phones and tablets shortly after its release.
Lumo is accepting a limited number of pre-orders now. The Lift is currently being sold for $79, and the price will go up to $99 after pre-order period. Gadgets are expected to begin shipping this summer.
