Netflix is gearing up for a season of more original holiday movies, and today we’re getting our first look at one of those films with the release of a teaser for The Christmas Chronicles.

Kurt Russell stars as a “more real” version of Santa Claus in the flick about a brother and sister whose plan to catch Santa on Christmas Eve goes horribly wrong when they accidentally crash his sleigh. Now it’s up to them to work with the big guy to save Christmas, before it’s over.

The fun-looking film is the work of producer Chris Columbus, who has directed several children’s classics including Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He also has writing credits on movies such as Gremlins and TheGoonies, so you know The Christmas Chronicles is going to be full of the movie magic that filled your childhood.

Of course, The Christmas Chronicles isn’t Netflix’s only original holiday film this year. Earlier this year, the streaming service revealed plans to release not one, but TWO royal-themed Christmas movies in 2018. The Christmas Switch will star Vanessa Hudgens and Nashville‘s Sam Palladio and is described as a rom-com about a duchess and a commoner who swap places after discovering they look exactly alike. A wedding-themed sequel to last year’s A Christmas Prince is set to hit the streaming service in time for the holidays as well.

The Christmas Chronicles will kick off the holiday season early when it arrives on Netflix on November 22nd.
