Oprah Winfrey’s Gift Idea for the Clooney Twins Is Seriously Genius
Leave it to Oprah to know exactly what gift to give for any occasion. The talk show host’s “Favorite Things” episodes of her hit show The Oprah Winfrey Show are stuff of legends these days, so it should come as no surprise that her favorite gift for a new baby is seriously genius — and one that she’d like to give to George and Amal Clooney’s one-day-old twins, Alexander and Ella.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell, Winfrey got to talking about the Clooneys, and while she didn’t want to reveal what gift she’d be sending to the proud parents, she did share what her favorite gift for a new baby is: a personalized book club.
“You get the name of the baby and then you send them every baby book you could imagine and you put the name of the baby on the book and do their own book club,” Winfrey admitted. For twins, that would mean double book club, but it’s probably fine for Winfrey, whose gift giving is legendary.
Earlier this year, she gave every single crew member on the set of A Wrinkle in Time a Juicero Juicer (before the company took a nose dive), valued at $699 per machine, and she recorded the entire process on social media.
