Is There Going To Be A 'Pirates of the Caribbean 6'? Everything You Need To Know About Those Rumors.

So, Pirates of the Caribbean 6 could be coming sooner rather than later, but who’s actually going to be in it? The original movies were huge, and fans want to know if the same cast will return, or if it’s a fresh start. Here’s what we know so far. The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise kicked off in 2003 with The Curse of the Black Pearl, quickly becoming a massive hit thanks to its mix of swashbuckling action, supernatural twists, and Johnny Depp’s iconic performance as Captain Jack Sparrow. Since then, the series has spawned multiple sequels, building a huge fanbase and a beloved cinematic world filled with memorable characters and epic adventures.
Here's everything you need to know about Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
Is there going to be Pirates of the Caribbean 6?
There's no official confirmation we're getting another Pirates of the Caribbean sequel. There was a female-led spinoff with Margot Robbie in the works, but that installment is reportedly no longer in the works. But according to producer Jerry Bruckheimer, we could still see another movie.
And Orlando Bloom would love to return. "Well, I don't know, I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know, but there's definitely availability," the actor told Game Rant. "I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it'd be great to get the band back together. That would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we'll see where it lands."
Do we know anything about the new plot?
Not really. The studio is keeping things pretty quiet. However, what we do know is that the movie will bring memorable characters and adventures, still with that mix of fantasy, pirates, and supernatural elements that made the originals so fun.
Will Johnny Depp play in The Pirates of the Caribbean 6?

Walt Disney Pictures
While Johnny Depp was allegedly dropped from the original sixth movie, rumors are swirling we'll see Jack Sparrow again after Johnny won his court case against Amber Heard.
Does Will Turner come back in Pirates of the Caribbean 6?
Fingers crossed the answer is yes! Orlando Bloom is definitely on board to come back as Will Turner. That’s a solid win because Will’s story, especially with the Flying Dutchman curse and all that sea lore, is a big part of the Pirates world. Having him back means they'd probably continue exploring those storylines, which is exciting.
Will Keira Knightley be in Pirates of the Caribbean 6?

Walt Disney Pictures
This one is still a maybe. There isn't an official report that Keira Knightley will return, and since Elizabeth’s story wrapped up pretty well in the earlier films, it’s unclear if she’ll come back. Hopefully if Will returns, Elizabeth will too!
Is Geoffrey Rush returning as Barbossa?
Nothing’s confirmed yet. Barbossa is a fan favorite, so it would make sense for him to appear. Fingers crossed!
Should fans be excited?

Walt Disney Pictures
I’d say yes! Even if the original cast doesn't return, new characters would freshen things up, and hopefully the movie will have the same fun vibe as the first few films. The Pirates franchise has always been about wild adventures and unexpected twists, so this next installment could surprise us all. Plus, Disney tends to put a lot of effort into their big franchises, so it’ll be interesting to see how they balance the old with the new and bring fresh life to the story. We just have to wait and see what Disney has in store!
