Vanessa Hudgens showed up to the VMAs red carpet and her look made us do a double-take, but not in a Miley Cyrus kind of way. More in a “we NEED to pin that to our wedding dress inspo boards” kinda way. Hudgens stepped out twinning with her sister, Stella, in a look that is surprisingly princess-y and ethereal. We were expecting something much edgier from the actress known for her trendy style, but her floor-length dress is actually slightly understated for the event, and we’re loving her glamorous approach.
Vanessa’s dusty rose dress appeared to have slightly thicker straps (which were covered by her beachy, tousled-wavy hair which she wore down) while her sister Stella’s champagne-hued frock gave off a more Disney Princess *at Coachella* vibe with its strapless, sweetheart neckline.
Instead of taking attention away from the neckline, Vanessa chose to place the majority of her jewelry on her wrists. A bunch ‘o bangles on each wrist, to be more specific, as well as several long necklaces highlighted the slight sparkle on the flowers on her dress.
The blush and champagne colors of the Hudgens sisters’ dresses are super wearable for fall, and not just for your bestie’s wedding. We can imagine a toned-down-pink version translating well to a blazer while a muted, champagne-colored party dress could also work as fun take on a standout piece.
What do you think about Vanessa’s VMA look? Are you a fan of the long, dusty rose dress?
