While some Hillary Clinton supporters are taking solace in her powerful secret message and others are holding out hope that she could still win the election (it could happen), some folks just need time to process the sitch. Folks are chatting with friends, binge-watching feel-good shows and heading outside for fresh air. And, as one mom and her baby found out, Hillary Clinton did what many of us did after her loss — she went for a long walk.
NY’s Margot Gerster was feeling heartbroken on Thursday after Clinton’s loss, so she decided to take her daughters on a hike in Chappaqua. This also happens to be Hillary’s hometown, which is why Margot and her little ones ran into the politician who was walking with her husband, Bill, and their dogs.
Margot shared the experience on Facebook saying, “I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking [my daughter] with me to vote for her. She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk.” That is, after snapping a pic, natch.
Surely a surprising and surreal occurrence, Margot added, “Now, I’m not one for signs but I think ill definitely take this one. So proud.”
The pic and accompanying message went viral immediately, so it looks like plenty of people agree that this is a good sign. Thanks for sharing, Margot!
