40 DIY Bracelets You Need to Check Out

Glamming up a bare wrist is super easy. Throw on a chunky cuff or slip on stacks of bangles and you’ve effortlessly made a style statement. Making your own bracelets can be just as simple, and we’re smitten with the creative ways these DIYers have sewn, twisted, baked and glued together scraps of materials to turn them into gorgeous works of arm art. Check out these 40 beautiful bracelets you can make yourself!

1. Thread Tassel Bracelet: We love the variety in these mixed materials – girly pearls, strong metal chain, and frilly thread. There’s really a bracelet for every style here. A testament to what a versatile piece you can make with leftover materials! (via Studs & Pearls)

2. Neon Wrap Bracelet: This bright bracelet is made exactly how it sounds by wrapping neon thread tightly around rope. Choose a bold, tri-colored design like the one here or if you’re looking for something more modest create a stark black and white pattern. (via I Spy DIY)

3. Nautical Rope Bracelet: You should know by now that you don’t have to be a boy scout to tie a great nautical knot. Newbies could use different colored rope to keep the knot pattern in line, but we love the preppy feel of this navy and white weave. (via Operation Overhaul)

4. Beaded Leather Bracelet: Loop a piece of leather and thread the beads of your choice through each side. The small blue and gold beads make the materials seem super delicate even though the band is made with a thick leather. (via Fab You Bliss)

5. Spike Bracelet: This fierce metallic bracelet may seem scary on it’s own, but we say embrace the spikes! Wear it with leather leggings if you want to totally rock out, or pair it with a graphic anchor Tee like this DIY-er did for a cool style contrast. (via Stripes and Sequins)

6. Tulle Studded Bracelets: We used multi-colored tulle as the base for this friendship bracelet instead of the usual embroidery floss. It gives such a fun and flirty feel to this set! (via Brit + Co)

7. Hex Nut Diamond Bracelet: Haven’t you heard that hex nuts are a girl’s best friend? Join these hardware pieces together to create a diamond-shaped pendant that’s oh so chic. (via Trinkets in Bloom)

8. Sweater Bangles: Give your favorite stained sweater new life with this bangle hack. Snip a strip of fabric from a chunky cardigan or patterned sweater and sew the ends together around a cuff form. (via a bit of sunshine)

9. Sequined Chain Bracelet: Add some shimmer to your bracelet collection with this DIY. Thread vibrant colored sequins through the chain in long or short segments until you’ve come full circle. Wrap around your wrist to fit or let it hang loose and wear it as a necklace! (via Brit + Co)

10. Heart Friendship Bracelet: When was the last time you showed your bestie some love? Master this heart pattern and trinket. (via Honestly…WTF)

11. Chain and Rhinestone Bracelet: This lux two-toned bracelet will add some serious glamour to any outfit. Weave the rhinestones in between the gold and silver chains to make yourself a perfect champagne sipping accessory. (via Everything Fabulous)

12. Hook and Eye String Bracelets: Sometimes less is more, and these hook and eye bracelets hit that point home. It just takes a few loops of string to attach to the oval wire eyes. They’re a great compliment to a statement watch. (via I Spy DIY)

13. Studded Leather Wrap Bracelet: This designer-inspired piece took practically no time to make and for a fraction of the cost of the real deal. If you’ll be working with leather often, investing in the medieval-looking leather punch is your best option. But those just starting out can hack it with a large sewing needle and some elbow grease. (via Thanks, I Made It)

14. Beaded Cuff: When is bigger and bolder not better? Fit for the wrist of Cleopatra or Joan of Arc, this beaded armor is made from stringing alternating gold and silver beads. (via P.S. – I Made This…)

15. Turquoise Beaded Ring Bracelet: This beaded ring bracelet is the epitome of simple beauty. It’s understated elegance and a delicate feel makes it a true statement piece for minimalist style. Be sure to take a finger-to-wrist hand measurement as you prepare your materials. (via Into Mind)

16. Name and Bow Wire Bracelet: Can you believe the trick to making this personalized name bracelet is starting with a pen and notebook? Draw a path without retracing any one point and then follow those lines with your materials. The result: a gorgeous charm bracelet! (via Born in ‘82)

17. Studded Bangles: Give new life to the bangles that hide in the back of your jewelry box into studded showpieces. Play around with stud placement and even stack two or three thin bangles on top of each other and secure with a group of silver studs for a sleek transformation! (via Brit + Co)

18. Gold Tube Bracelets: These colorful tube bracelets have dual material personalities: totally adjustable with colorful cord or sturdy and with hearty leather wrap. However you make them, know both will pair perfectly with gold tipped flats. (via Honestly…WTF)

19. Painted Leather Bracelet: Paint your own geometric designs onto strips of leather for this on-trend DIY. Go tribal with a multi-colored chevron pattern or channel your inner mod with bold strokes of black and white. (via A Beautiful Mess)

20. Zipper Bracelets: This is definitely one of our favorite unconventional material transformations of all time! These colorful zippers only cost about a buck each and can be turned into a handful of drastically different looks with just the snip of some scissors. (via Brit + Co)

21. Leather Clasp Cuff: This leather cuff is all about the elaborate clasp. Attach it to the shimmery silver leather and lock yourself up in this statement piece! (via Think Crafts)

22. Pom-Pom Bracelet: We love that these soft pom poms take the place of clanging charms in this DIY. Line the outside of your bracelet with a strand of these fabric puffs and secure with jump rings to get quirky, cute design. (via Thanks, I Made It)

23. Slap Dash Painted Crystals Bracelet: Get ready for the most impactful style hack we’ve seen in a long time. Add a dot of neon nail polish to clusters of rhinestones to get this blinging design. Genius! (via Hocus Kocus)

24. Fishtail Braid Bracelet: If you’ve perfected the trendy fishtail braid on your own mane, then making these bracelets will be a cinch. Go monotone with two shades of pink or mix up the braided bracelets with your pick of summery colors. (via I Spy DIY)

25. Sequin Bracelet: These sequin bracelets are fun, casual, and way faster to make than you may think. Don’t you dare string the sequins on one by one! Save time by pinching a bunch off its strand and carefully place onto your bracelet cord. (via Honestly…WTF)

26. Plumbing Supplies Bracelet: Who knew the plumbing supplies could be so chic? Fasten these clunky compression nuts to a skinny leather belt and wrap around your forearm. Layer two on at a time for a more dramatic look. (via Style Hurricane)

27. Transparent Cuff: Get in on the transparent trend with this perspex cuff duo. You can find this clear material at most hardware stores (see if they’re able to cut it to size for you!). To make just pop in the oven for about five minutes and get ready to act quickly to mold them to shape: the perspex hardens in about 30 seconds. (via Love Aesthetics)

28. Spike Rope Bracelet: Can we call this look preppy goth? Or sailor punk? Either way we’re pretty into with this hack. Just push the back end of this spike through the fisherman’s rope weave and screw them in place. (via P.S. – I Made This…)

29. Trendy Rope Bracelets: Rope is such a versatile material to work with. Whether you braid it, knot it or twist it, the result is always beautiful. Introduce some thread to the mix for an unexpected pop of color. (via Brit + Co)

30. Painted Tribal Bracelets: This bracelet’s 21st century take on tribal pattern has us wishing we had more than two arms! Repurposed address labels act as stencils to keep the negative space intact as you add the acrylic paint design. The reveal is bright, bold and totally stackable. (via Dismount Creative)

31. Wire Heart Bracelet: If you don’t wear your heart on your sleeve, at least give it a shot on your wrist. The heart’s humps are shaped with jewelry pliers and also double as the clasp for the hook. (via I Spy DIY)

32. Evil Eye Bracelet: Ward off any bad vibes with this sparkly evil eye charm bracelet. We love the unique almond shape the chain and cord forms around this rhinestoned stunner. (via My Little Secrets)

33. Leather Bow Cuff : We’re enamoured by how quickly you can turn a piece of leather scrap into a flirty cuff. Simply pinch the center of your leather piece, secure with thread, and you’re more than half way to completing this DIY. (via Oh the Lovely Things)

34. Chandelier Charm Bracelet: Skip the thrift store the next time you’re in the market for vintage-inspired costume jewelry and make your own pearl petal charms to adorn your chain. For a luxurious final look, layer it on with chunky crystal bracelets. (via Honestly…WTF)

35. Watch Wrap Bracelets: Ditch your boring watch band for these fun and colorful wraps. We couldn’t choose between using leather trim, friendship bracelets or a beaded necklace…so we made all three! (via Brit + Co)

36. Leather and Fabric Studded Bracelets: Pastel stripes and floral patterns give these studded bracelets a girly twist. These charming leather bands have the perfect mix and match of color and texture: power clashing at it’s most graceful! (via Henry Happened)

37. Braided Clay Bracelet: Brace yourself for this bracelet how to: it’s time to tinker with grown-up Play Dough! Knead, braid and bake are the three main actions to transform this lump polymer clay into a gorgeous braid bracelet. We love these fall earth tone colors, but the speckled clay is our fav by far. (via Delighted Momma)

38. Bead Bracelets: These bead bracelets are extremely simple and super chic. Make one in every color of the rainbow by braiding gold or silver beads on to linen cord. Secure with a two-hole button and layer them on your arms! (via (Honestly…WTF)

39. Sequin Bangle: Channel your inner disco babe with this glamorous cuff. Give your plain Jane cuff a far out makeover by hot gluing the large sequins to it in a scalloped pattern. (via Bolts & Blows)

40. Rhinestone Vinyl Bead Bracelet: There’s nothing shiny and neon that we can’t get behind, and that goes for these ultra cool bracelets. String some clear elastic cord through rhinestone beads and pop vinyl beads on to bookend each side to get this elegant and modern look. (via SwellMayde)

Ladies and fashionistas, hold on to your Manolo Blahniks because our favorite New York City dames are coming back for a third season of And Just Like That.... That's right, the cult classic Sex and the City spinoff is set to grace our screens once again! So, what can we expect from AJLT's junior season? Buckle up, darlings, as we delve into all the juicy details.

When will "And Just Like That" Season 3 come out?

Photograph by Craig Blankenhorn/Max

Now, here's the catch — while the fabulous return of our beloved Manhattanites is on the horizon, there's no set return date just yet. The writers strikeand SAG-AFTRA strike put production on hold for a while, but this delay gave us all the more time to binge-watch and reminisce about Carrie's iconic rent-controlled apartment. So, don't fret; we'll have more than enough time to sip our cosmos and rekindle our SATC love affair.

On May 1, 2024 Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed the series was back in production when she posted a photo of her script! "Here. We. Go. X, SJ," she says in the caption. While she perfectly positioned her pen to block the name of the first episode's title, we can see the last three letters look like "OOD." The title could be anything from "For Good" to "The Neighborhood" and I'm very curious to find out.

Where can you stream "And Just Like That" Season 3?

Photograph by Craig Blankenhorn/Max

Before we dive into the excitement of season 3, make sure you're up to speed by streaming the first two seasons of And Just Like That... on MAX. That's where we'll find season 3, too!

Which "And Just Like That" cast members will return for season 3?

Photograph by Craig Blankenhorn/Max

Let's talk about the heart and soul of And Just Like That... — the cast. Sans Samantha, it's likely that all of our favorite characters from season 2 will be making a glorious comeback for season 3. With Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis all donning the executive producer hats, it's a safe bet that ¾ of the original SATC gang will grace our small screens once more. Fingers crossed Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury, John Corbett, Karen Pittman, and more of our AJLT faves come back, too!

Who's not returning? According toThe Daily Mail, Sara Ramirez was let got from the show. Ramirez, who uses they/them pronouns, hinted at their departure from AJLT on Instagram. They wrote this statement on their story:

"Our industry is so duplicitous. While they give awards away, casting directors and agents are making blacklists of actors and workers who post anything in support of Palestinians in Gaza to ensure they will not work again. While they lift up some of their own clients who have spoken up against this genocide, they are firing and letting others who have smaller platforms go. While they award 'lgbtq orgs', they are silent on those orgs ties to weapons manufacturers who are currently supporting the Israel military as it commits genocide on Palestinian lives that include LGBTQIA2S+ lives."

The statement ended with a very tongue-in-cheek reference, "It's wild how performative so many in Hollywood are, even more performative than the last character I played."

Though Ramirez intimated that they got fired for their political beliefs, but allegedly the show has other reasons for the cast change. According to reporting from The Daily Mail, a source revealed that Che was "too annoying" as a character. It's no secret that people have strong feelings about Che Diaz, but we haven't received an official statement from the AJLT team confirming this reasoning.

Reporting from Varietyrevealed that Che's character simply came to a "natural conclusion." Their sources maintain that the severed ties with Sara Ramirez had nothing to do with their politics and everything to do with the fact that Miranda and Che's relationship was over.

Will Samantha Jones return for "And Just Like That" Season 3?

Photograph by Craig Blankenhorn/Max

The burning question on everyone's mind...will Samantha Jones make a triumphant return to the city that never sleeps? Season 2 did give Samantha's fans a taste of what they craved when Kim Cattrall made a brief appearance in the finale. However, for those yearning for a classic brunch scene with all four of the original cast members, it's time to temper your expectations.

After a revealing interview on the Today Show back in June, Kim Cattrall put the Samantha saga to rest. When asked by Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager about a potential season 3 comeback, Cattrall left us with lingering uncertainty, stating, "That's as far as I'm going to go."

Though it might be disheartening to know that Samantha won't be gracing our screens in the upcoming season, it's essential to remember that the magic of And Just Like That... extends beyond one character. Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda's enduring friendship and the vibrant energy of New York City are still very much at the heart of the show.

'Tis the season... for giving and getting things you (and your giftees) might not really need. With sustainability becoming a paramount concern for many and the drawbacks of overconsumption entering our collective consciousness, the idea of gifting thoughtful, handmade, and possibly even zero-waste gifts is becoming ever more appealing. The only problem? We're not all as handy as we might like to be. Don't worry though — you don't need to be an expert maker to craft these DIY Christmas gifts! From beginner to advanced, there's a homemade Christmas gift idea for giver and giftee alike.

Edible DIY Christmas Gift Ideas

If you know your way around a kitchen, don't sleep on the opportunity to give your loved ones an edible gift. You know it'll get used (AKA eaten), and it's essentially a zero-waste gift-giving strategy.

We love making pretty desserts that work well as gifts, like this matcha yogurt bark, this peppermint bark, these super easy Christmas cookie recipes, and these edible gift ideas. Package them up with these creative gift wrapping techniques, or forego paper altogether and wrap them with a cute kitchen towel for a zero-waste approach.

DIY Craft Kits To Gift

If you're a complete beginner to DIY and handmade Christmas gifts, it might be smart to start out with a kit. A DIY kit allows you to fashion a thoughtful gift that shows your recipient just how much time and effort you put into giving them something special.

This DIY permanent jewelry kit is perfect for someone who wants to give their bestie a one-of-a-kind present this year. You can also DIY Christmas-scented candles, grow your loved one's birth month flower, or construct a super-cute tiny house to be displayed as kitschy decor.

Handmade Christmas Gifts

We love a good DIY. Our favorite presents are handmade Christmas gifts, and we've shared a ton of homemade gift ideas in our time.

A cute winter terrarium is perfect for the quirky decor lover in your life, while nothing brings the hygge vibes more than a hand-knit blanket. Give your favorite houseplant lover some gorgeous flora in one of these DIY cement planters, or embroider a pillow that'll add a cute touch of color to your bestie's home!

DIY Home Decor

Speaking of your bestie's home, we've got plenty of ideas for DIY Christmas gifts you can give in the home decor category.

Spruce up a simple IKEA desk to give your work wife a WFH chair that's cute and from the heart. Make magazine wall art in your giftee's favorite colors to add a homemade, kitschy touch to their space. This Anthro-inspired DIY chandelier is another great option for artsy decor lovers.

A friend who loves hostessing will appreciate this pineapple cutting board, and someone who's into the beauty of organization will swoon over this DIY wall organizer.

DIY Jewelry

Many of us adore jewelry, so why not give someone in your life a cute and colorful accessory this holiday season? These acrylic earrings are super colorful and adorable, while this DIY choker is '90s inspired and totally on-trend. We also love this geode statement necklace and this cute necklace made out of old tee shirts. Talk about sustainable style!

If you've been missing Chad Michael Murray as much as we have, then you're going to want to tune into Mother of the Bride. Chad stars opposite Brooke Shields and Miranda Cosgrove in the new rom-com, and the Sullivan's Crossing actor is trading the cozy forest for a tropical beach! The flick has plenty of romance (that is, after all, the "rom" in question), but instead of ending with a big proposal like a lot of other romantic movies, Mother of the Bride begins with a wedding announcement. And, naturally, relationship chaos unfolds from there. There's dancing, there's yoga, there's pickleball. This is one movie you won't want to miss! Here's everything we know.

What is the movie Mother of the Bride about?

Image via Netflix

Lana (Brooke Shields) is thrilled when her daughter Emma (Miranda Cosgrove) returns to the states from her time abroad. She's less thrilled, however, to learn that Emma is getting married on the other side of the world...in 30 days. Lana is ready to support Emma however she needs, but things take a turn for the worse when she realizes Emma's future father-in-law is the man who broke her heart in college. Watch the Mother of the Bride trailer here!

When can I watch Mother of the Bride?

Image via Netflix

Mother of the Bride begins streaming on Netflix Thursday May 9, 2024, which makes this the best movie to watch this weekend. You can check out the rest of our Most-Anticipated May Movies For 2024 to update your monthly watchlist!

Who's in the Mother of the Bride cast?

Image via Netflix

Alongside Brooke Shields and Miranda Cosgrove as Lana and Emma, we'll see Chad Michael Murray, Benjamin Bratt, Rachael Harris, and Sean Teale. Michael McDonald, Wilson Cruz, Tasneem Roc, and Dalip Sondhi also star.

Where was Mother of the Bride filmed?

Image via Netflix

Mother of the Bride was filmed on location in Thailand. That sounds like a dream! According to Miranda Cosgrove, the movie filmed for six weeks, and the cast and crew spent almost every minute together.

Why is the mother of the bride so important?

Image via Netflix

The mother of the bride can be an important part of any wedding ceremony (should the couple choose to include her). While she provides some serious emotional support for the bride, the MOB also helps with wedding planning. Plus, in the past, she's also had a role in making sure any religious, cultural, or traditional elements are incorporated into the ceremony. Basically, she's the bride's right hand woman! (In addition to the Maid of Honor, of course).
